If you are far enough along to feel symptoms, you would be far enough along for a test to go positive.

I didn’t get any PG symptoms until at least a week after I got the BFP.

I will say, last summer at this time was when Darling Husband and I started talking about TTC. I didn’t go off the pill until September, but I also had REALLY funky cycles for the summer, which was odd when I had been on BC for the 13 years before. I’d get it for a couple days, then it’d be gone for a week, and then come back. Just all over.

It could be some changes that you’re going through… weather, stress, etc. I was like you and was bad at taking the pill some days, and would sometimes spot more than normal on days when I wouldn’t take it, and then take a few. This happened on our honeymoon. I wasn’t due with my period until the week after, but was spotting red for a day until I got back to taking my pill EVERYDAY. It’s just your body reacting to not getting the hormones.

If really concerned, you could always talk with your doctor. You could just need a new type of pill.

I had symptoms before I could have gotten a positive pregnancy test… I wasn’t imagining it either because I was NOT expecting to get pregnant. I had sore boobs, a cramping kind of like my period and implantation bleeding (pink brown spotting just like you described). I guess everyone is different.

HC_IC721:  I was like Kacie209 – absoutely zero symptoms until the week after I got the positive.  And then it was like a tidal wave.

Good luck next month!!

I’ve never had pregnancy symptoms until I could have gotten a positive test.  And even then, my symptoms were cramps (indistinguishable from period cramps), bleeding (thought it was my period- it was implantation bleeding), and lots of cervical fluid.  The only clue I had was the cervical fluid on the last one, but I probably would have gotten a + test if I’d tested that day.  I’ve had two pregnancies (wasn’t expecting either one) and no nausea, sore boobs, fatigue until well after 4 weeks (when you can get a positive test), more like 6-8 weeks when they set in.

I also agree that if you’re far enough along for true pregnancy symptoms, you would get a positive test.  You can test again if your period doesn’t show up.  Good luck when you are ready to TTC!
