I tested at 14 DPO and it was torture to wait that long!  I am also aware that chemical pregnancies are common but we couldn’t resist testing right at 14 days.

I think for people who want to know they can test whenever they want. Either sooner or later. But they should be aware of chemical pregnancies. The reason why I think this is that when you’re TTC it’s nice to know if you can get pregnant or having your period late. Whether or not it’s a chemical women should know what their body is doing 🙂

Also the day before my period was due I got in a car accident. they asked if there’s a possibility I could be pregnant and I had to test that day. I wasnt pregnant and got my period that night. But I didn’t mind testing a day early and strongly felt like I needed to know if I was pregnant anyway because of the risk for baby. And if I had started my period that night I should know if it’s a prwgnancy that didn’t last because of the strong amount of stress I had gone through that day because of the pregnancy  or if it was because I Just simply wasn’t pregnant.

2monthweddingplanner:  I think it’s important for women to know if they are miscarrying so they can receive the rhogam shot if necessary, and avoid baths and tampons.

2monthweddingplanner:  are you saying that it’s better for a woman to not know she is pregnant because she will be sad if she miscarries…..? Isn’t it better to know what’s happening in our bodies?

2monthweddingplanner:  it’s only by knowing that I was having multiple chemical pregnancies that we were able to figure out something was wrong and now I have to find out my pregnancy as soon as possible to start medication to keep me pregnant. If i had never tested until 4 weeks late I would never know about my losses, never have seen a doctor and would most probably never have a successful pregnancy. All losses are important and relvant to your medical history. I would also like to know that I am physically able to get pregnant as we might have then gone down an ivf path if we thought we were infertile and that would be a waste of effort as our problem is not relevant to getting pregnant but staying pregnant.

bubbycakes:  Absolutely this. I could hug you. Without knowing I had 2 CP and a MMC I wouldn’t have recieved needed attention from my doctor.

bubbycakes:  MrsNebraska:  I agree! I used to test from 9dpo (1 week before AF was due) so I’d know if I was KU no matter what the long term result. It helped as I was able to get needed medical attention after 2mmcs and a cp.
