It is probably an evaporation line.  The readout of the test is no longer valid outside of the time frame indicated in the instructions.

It could be an evaporation line.  If I were you, I’d grab a digital test and take it tomorrow morning with your FMU (first morning urine) since it’s more concentrated than urine at the end of the day.

I’m confused as to why you took a test the night before you were due for your period. Excited much? Lol.

I would definitely invest in digital tests. :]

@ArmyWife8806:

um, some people test like 3 or 4 days before their period..its called TTC. Lol!

@Lovemyfuturehub:

I say you might be pregnant. The day I found out I was pg, I looked at my test after 10 min or so and there was a faint line. I chef my test from the day before, because it was stark white after I had read the results, and there was a faint line! I think if its very early, it will show up slower. Not saying you should go off of that, but that was my experience.

Lines seen after the time limit are not reliable readings. Its most likely an evap line. Hopefully I’m wrong and you get a BFP but you have to see it within the time limit.

Um, are you new to the TTC process? Positives can happen as soon as 9-10 days past ovulation which is before a period would start for most people. Your snark failed horribly in this situation.

I didn’t get a positive preg test until a week after my period was due, and even then it was super faint so there could be a chance you are preggo πŸ™‚ Everyone is different πŸ™‚ Good Luck!

My positive test was just like yours – showed up wayyy after the recommended time and was just a faint line. It was like that for a day or so, then I went to the doctors, got a blood test to confirm. Hope everything goes well on the digi!

I know about evaboration lines, but this sort of happened to me. I took a test and the entire thing turned blue, no line. I went and walked my dogs and came back and there was this time faint line. I probably shouldn’t tell you that I took the test out of the trash, broke it, and held just the strip up to the light lol. I took a test the next morning and it was clearly positive. So maybe your levels are just lower since the day after your missed period is technically when the test works 100%. Good luck.
