To put your mind at ease. I went through this with my first. I had HEAVY bleeding for 4 days just like a normal period and then light bleeding off and on. I went in and they did an ultra sound and blood tests and caught a heartbeat. I wouldn’t psych yourself out. I know where you are coming from, I also freaked out a bit!! But they assured me it happens more often than not!

Don’t stress about it, it’s not good for the baby and keep your head up, they will find out what’s going on! Best of Luck to you!

I’m very sorry you’re going through this! I know exactly how you feel and it’s so hard not to only focus on the bad. You should definitely pamper yourself and do things that will distract you. For me, reading books really helps. I’ve been re-reading all the Harry Potter books (nerdy, I know :)) it helps me not think about all the pregnancy stress. Good luck! Keep us updated.

Hey Jenn! I didn’t have any bleeding, but any little cramp or twinge concerned me. At 7 weeks I had sharp enough pains that it woke me up in the middle of the night and I couldn’t fall back to sleep because it hurt so much. That had me really freaked out.  I guess my point is – don’t worry about being worried. Everyone is worried and it doesn’t seem to get any easier as you get further along. Hopefully your blood work results will be reassuring and will help to put your mind at ease.

They thought it was probably a cyst, but were slightly concerned that it could have been ectopic. So I got to go in for my ultrasound a couple of weeks early. The baby was not ectopic (I did have a cyst which was nothing to worry about) and we got to see the heartbeat which was very comforting.  I sort of wish we could see it every day because I still get really worried!

The best thing you can do is try to relax and not stress yourself out. I had a friend here at work who had the same issue, and while she was waiting for her 2nd test, she started bleeding heavily. They still weren’t sure what caused the bleeding, but she’s now at 16 weeks and her baby looks healthy, and she’s doing fine.

I know it’s really hard to keep your mind off of it, but I hope everything turns out well for you! And congratulations!

I had a subchorionic hemorrhage and those can sometimes cause 1st trimester bleeding.

I had bleeding consistently through my first pregnancy, and now again with this baby. I know this early waiting for the blood tests to confirm that hormone level is tortuous. The bleeding in my first preg was unexplained. This time, the first few months I had some heavier spotting and cramping bc of a cyst on one of  my ovaries. Now, I have bleeding bc of some cervical issues. I’m 22 weeks now! The only thing I can say is try to keep your mind busy and DO NOT GOOGLE your symptoms!!

Yes, thankfully so far it is. I’m 9 weeks now, 7 when we heard the heartbeat. I hope everything goes just as smoothly for you and your beta levels are through the roof!
