almk87 :  I had mine removed July 12th and got my PPT on November 18th, fourth cycle without birth control.

I was also convinced it would take a long time, but I was wrong.

4.5 weeks until my baby is here!

Got pregnant within a week of having mine removed, but had a MMC with that pregnancy.

Everybody is different and some women ovulate right away after and others it takes a while for their hormones to come right. If you’re using OPK’s/temping you’ll be able to see when you start ovulating again – that’s the answer to your question!

I had a paragard twice (the non hormonal one) and for baby 2 it took us almost a year, and for the final baby it took us 6 months (miscarriages were between both).

I had the Paragard (no-hormone) and got pregnant that week! – 3rd baby.  I had a tough time regulating after coming off the pill to conceive my first, which took a year.  My body doesn’t do well with hormones.

Will be having another Mirena removed in August to TTC so hopefully it goes quick again

Had my first bleed/period within a few weeks and fell pregnant that cycle. We were obviously very lucky, but I hope this gives you some hope that although it definitely may take some time it isn’t impossible.

I had 2 very the course of 11 years, my doctor told me that I should get pregnant quickly but it took almost a full year, I found out I was 2 weeks pregnant right at our 12 month anniversary of having the IUD removed (which was my birthday as well lol). I am now currently pregnant with my second with no trying involved, our first turns 1 in 12 days.

when really helped in narrowing down my fertility window was temping, I did that paired with fertility test strips. Made all the difference in the world after so long of trying

almk87 :  I had 3 over 11 years, had it removed after we were married at 32y old. Doing some major research I have found out that women with mirena iud > 5 y “may” take longer to conceive than those on bcp in the first year TTC. By the second year the stats should be the same as on bcp. There is a frustratingly small amount of data on this and I do wonder if it’s affecting our fertility (the doctors say no, but there is no research to support “no” either). I definitely wasn’t aware of that when I was 21 and having kids was the furthest thing in my mind (starting my doctorate!)

I used the Mirena for 4 years, had it  removed and was pregnant after 2 cycles. I didn’t do any tracking.

I got pregnant in the next cycle once I had my Kyleena out, but it ended in a miscarriage for me at about 10 weeks unfortunately.
