I was here on WB posting through all of my TTC struggles and the ladies that I talked to and made friends with during the process were such a help for me to get through all of it. There are SO many of us now who have graduated from the TTC thread but a lot of us are at different points in our pregnancies so I thought it would be fun to have a place for us to reconnect, chat and support each other. Those that are further along can help encourage the more recent graduates and hopefully it’ll be a place where we feel safe about sharing the fears/concerns/triumphs that can be unique to those of us who have been on this roller coaster for awhile already.
How long TTC: We were in the process of TTC for 8 months.
Brief TTC Background Refresher: I have PCOS with a history of low progesterone. During the TTC process I experienced 2 early miscarriages due to the low progesterone. I also had slightly elevated thyroid levels that probably contributed to my MCs.
First child?: Yes.
How far along/EDD: 18w5d/Due October 17th!
Gender: Baby Boy!
Milestones: Lately I’ve been feeling movement and even though it’s still intermittent it’s the most amazing feeling. Of course, I get nervous when he’s more quiet but having the Doppler helps! It was also a HUGE milestone to find out that our baby is a boy, that was a surprise that I’ll never forget J
Struggles: Physically I’ve had a pretty good second tri so far! I do have a lot of hip pain and it’s been hard to stay as active as I was before pregnancy. I’m also having a mental struggle trying to accept the weight gain aspect of pregnancy. Mentally, the constant fear.
What are you most fearful/concerned about: Right now it’s pre-term labor and something happening to our baby before the 24 weeks viability milestone! It seems like the closer we get to that marker the farther away it becomes.
