I don’t know how many of you are on Hellobee, but that’s where I’ve been updating.

I started bleeding on Friday at 23 weeks and had to be admitted to the hospital for threatening preterm labor.

I’ve been here ever since!  I’m on IV meds to try to calm the contractions, but I’m still having just a touch of bleeding as well as contractions and am not considered stable.

No matter what happens, (hospital or home), I’m on strict bed rest.  I’m adjusting and just hoping that I can keep this baby in here for a really really long time…like 4 more months long!

i had my third beta today (22DPO) and it was 4,021. i have my first ultrasound 10/3 and i can’t wait! however, i have no idea what to expect because according my RE i’m 6w5d, but according to when i think i ovulated i’m 5w2d.

what did your REs/MDs do about your due date for those of you think have long cycles or ovulated late like me?

@JaneyD:  i’m so sorry all of this is happening! i hope that things stabilize and you get to go home soon. i will be thinking of you and baby <3

@mintmercury:  My RE measured the baby at my ultrasound and based my due date on that.  I even had IUI, but they went with how big the baby was measuring vs. the IUI date.  Oddly enough, when I went to my first OB ultrasound (3rd overall), the little nugget was measuring even bigger than my IUI date, so they still went by that measurement vs. any dates (i.e. last period or IUI)

@JaneyD:  How are the contractions, lady? Are they slowing down any? I still say you’re in the best place you can be, despite being probably sick to death of hospitals! x

@Mrs. Jaguar:  Yeah I think they’re slowing down.  There’s still a touch of bleeding but it’s super light.  My BFF who is 2 1/2 weeks ahead of me just visited.  I’d like to say I enjoyed it, but I did not.  Now I dono’t want to see normal pregnant ladies anymore… I would just like to be normal at some point, but I guess that’s out of the cards for me.  As long as he’s healthy…

Well ladies I’ve ended up on bedrest also, although for now I’m lucky enough to be on bedrest at home and allowed to work a bit. Thank God for an understanding boss.  On Friday I had a follow-up ultrasound due to my ripe old age of 39, the MFM’s want to watch the baby’s weight. OB said I didn’t have to do the follow up but I decided to do so I could see if she was alright do to that fact of my aneterior plactena I don’t feel a lot. At the ultrasound they found my cervix had shortened from a 4 point something to 2.5, which is no good at 25 weeks four days. I’m now 26 weeks. Waiting for a call back from the OB to try to figure out what’s going on and where this is headed.  So worried and bed rest is killing my hips and back which were already a problem.

@Mrs. Jaguar:  absolutely. You can’t be in the ttc world as long as we all have and ever truly feel relaxes or stress free. We have become to jaded by the process.  Lol. I hope to join yohead a member of this thread this cycle! I’ve really been working on being super positive and trying not to think about it. Lol
