@2PeasinaPod:  My husband didn’t believe it (and therefore pushed the beta) until he saw the digital and my SUPER dark FRER at 14 DPO.  He is still pretty cautious, and doesn’t want to tell our parents until we rule out an ectopic, but he is slowly getting more excited and has been a lot better than I expected about my fatigue and insatiable appetite.

Elley – p.s. – he is already *convinced* that it is a boy.  I am “feeling” girl.

@Running Elley:  We’re still at 20 weeks nervous and scared! My husband asked me all the time during the 1st trimester how I was feeling, any spotting or bleeding (because I did have one bleeding scare) and we were both so excited to make it out of the 1st trimester. But even now, we are both still so worried. I can say that my DH is definitely optimistic, though, like yours is…it is just that we still worry a lot!

@Running Elley:  We had a bleeding scare a couple of weeks ago and when I called to tell him (I was at work) I think it hit him pretty hard that we could go through another miscarriage. I think he is much more cautious this time around. Last time he never really thought we would lose the baby, just have complications like we had with the second. I have my first offical MD appointment on Friday and he is planning on going with me. Hearing that HB again will put us both at ease.

@septcabride:  Good luck with the next beta! Can’t wait to hear good news. ๐Ÿ™‚  So excited for you!!!! Sorry you may have endo pain during the pregnancy. I have something called adenomyosis (sp?) which is similar and it causes me to have pain. I had to take narcotics and even a strong anti-inflammatory a few weeks back because the pain was bad. Hopefully, you won’t have to go through any of that!!! Just know that if you do have pain and it becomes unbearable like mine was, there are medicines you can take if necessary.

I was never active on the TTC boards but it took 6+ months so I figured I’d share. Hope it’s ok to chime in!

How long TTC: Almost a year between stopping BCP and this current pregnancy.

Brief TTC Background Refresher: I have suspected PCOS/annovulation. I was not open to fertility testing or treatments so it was never confirmed, although the doctor was pretty certain based on my symptoms and cycles. I stopped taking the pill in Jan 2011 and tried temping and using opk’s but my cycles were irregular and long so I gave up quickly. I think my cycles started regulating in late summer for the first time but I was under so much stress that it was the last thing on my mind. I had a chemical pregnancy in November, began temping again and had a normal cycle followed by an extrememly early ovulation that resulted in a BFP on 1/1/12.

First child?: Yes.

How far along/EDD: 23w5d/September 13

Gender: Team Green! (And hoping we will stay that way after our follow up u/s in 2 weeks)

Milestones: My morning sickness finally went away around 17/18 weeks. Passing the halfway point and feeling lots of movement now. I think I’m at the sweet spot of pregnancy where I’m showing enough that people can tell but I’m not huge and I’m feeling great!

Struggles:  I started spotting around week 13 and it’s been off and on since then. The midwife discovered a cervical polyp which is probably causing it but it stresses me out regardless because I don’t know how I am supposed to tell the difference between that and bleeding from a different (bad) source. I had a LEEP less than a year ago which makes me at higher risk for cervical incompetence and adds to my worries. Also, this is more superficial, but I must be having a growth spurt or something because recently I’m having a hard time controlling my weight. I don’t think I’m eating much more than normal so I don’t know what to do! I really wanted to keep the weight gain between 25 – 30 pounds but have already put on around 16.

What are you most fearful/concerned about: Cervical incompetence, something going wrong with the baby or delivery, pretty much everything!

I’m so glad this thread is so busy and I get to hang out with so many “faces” I’ve missed and am looking forward to knowing the new girls!

After yesterday’s Waste of My Life drama, I am trying to be super productive at work today…But I’m just popping in to ask yet another poop question.

I had 2 pink spotting episodes last week that immediately followed a Bridesmaid or Best Man, and then totally stopped. I read that straining at all when you have a sensitive cervix can cause that, and that progesterone suppositories irritate the cervix- which I’m on. So after an ER trip revealed no cause, I have Dx’d myself as having an irritated cervix that bleeds if I strain at all to poop.

Obviously, I am scared to death of pooping now. I havent went since Saturday. And I wouldnt let myself look at the tp afterwards so I dont know if I spotted. Do you ladies think it’s okay to use the glycerin suppositories a couple of times a week to get things going and keep it gentle? They’re the only thing that has worked for my mega constipation and super-hard stool. I’ve tried stool softeners and metamucil (omg SO SICK- that orange shit!) and they werent much help. I used a suppository once last week and was kind of thinking of giving it another go today. I hate being stopped up but I cant afford to push at all!

I’ll ask my dr on thurs @ my next appt, but just thought I’d ask what ya’ll think.

I know, I know…I need to just relax- lol…Yeah- My Bowels!!!!

OMG…that made me laugh so hard! I would just give your doctor a quick call to make sure that the glycerin suppositories are safe for you to take right now. I found that when I eat a ton of fruit, it really helps out a lot. Especially watermelon. Not sure if you have any fruit adversions, but it’s worth a try!

@Running Elley:  I was just about to ask how things went today. Those pictures are awesome!

@jholler25:  You definately want to be careful with using laxatives and suppositories too often. Over time your body gets use to having something else stimulate it to go and you might have problems being regular on your own. Definately something to go over with your doc next visit!

@ieatunicorns:  Yeah, I decided to hold off until my appt.  The thing is, I don’t poop much either way, so if I became dependant on them it really wouldn’t matter-lol:)  I just manage to eek out the occasional rabbit pellet:)

How long TTC: Came off BCP in Feb 2011, first and only BFP January 2012

Brief TTC Background Refresher: No known issues, longish cycles (30-33 days) and a shortish LP (10-12 days)  We had pretty much ten months of regular cycles, BD’ing at all the right times and we charted since July 2011.  I think we were just one of those couples who was going to take a wee bit longer.

First child?: Yup (unless you count our dog and cat!)

How far along/EDD: 20w 3d, EDD 07 October 2012

Gender: Team Green but my gut feeling says boy

Milestones: I’ve been feeling movement for just about a week now and I still can’t quite believe we’re now on the downhill slide!  I think today was also the first day that I actually looked pregnant rather than just fat!

Struggles: I’ve been really lucky with no morning sickness, bleeding scares etc but I do worry that I haven’t gained any weight yet.  I don’t think there would be a woman in the world who didn’t worry throughout their pregnancy, no matter how well they’re keeping (or who they might tell about there worries)

What are you most fearful/concerned about: Labour and delivery don’t scare me, what happens when we bring baby home does!

@jholler25:  I had a spotting issue after “pushing” too hard.  I didn’t even call the doc though because it stopped immediately.  But I found that 6-7 strawberries every morning at breakfast and 3 prunes after dinner really helped.  Hot water and lemon is supposed to help as well…some days it worked for me, some it didn’t.  Don’t be afraid to go.  I think my spotting was caused by pushing for too hard for too long.  Now it’s just pushing for 3 seconds (instead of 10, yes I was practicing for labor) and relaxing.  repeat and hope for the best!

ETA – I didn’t mean relaxing your mind! I don’t want to get yelled at ๐Ÿ˜‰  I meant relaxing your…bowels and breathing for a minute, and then resume.  You really made me get down and “dirty” with this one!
