@kayakgirl73: How did the U/S go??? I haven’t had too many problems with body parts falling asleep but I know that lots of ladies have!
Girls, I need updates!! Any updates, appointments, (Heaven forbid) scares?
On my side my bump is really rounding out which is absolutely THRILLING. We’re talking names and putting almost all of our energy into getting into a living space so that I can nest like I’ve been aching to!
@quiche: Glad to see you here π

@Running Elley: I had my first appointment last week I was just about 10 weeks and we got a heartbeat on the doppler almost right away.I got a Rx for Zofran, which I haven’t used in my pregnancies before, but I was down 6 lbs in 2 weeks so my doctor though it would be a good idea. The past couple days I have been kind of crampy.Which I think is more of a bowel issue, but it still freaked me out so I broke down and ordered a doppler. I go in the 11th for my NT scan and then I think we will tell everybody on Father’s Day!
I can’t believe you are 20 weeks already!!!

Ultrasound yester day went great. Heartbeat 164. Measuring on Schedule at eight weeks two days. Still fatigued and battling the Nausea. The numbness in my arm was terrible Monday and Tuesday, better yesterday, but started up again this morning, but hus far just my wrist today and not my fingers, which is when it’s gets really bothersome.
I got released from the RE yesterday. My first OB appoinment is June 8th. Yay.
On the ultrasound we could see ababy starting to take shape. We saw a spine, and arm and leg buds. Really cool how much has changed in two weeks time. Off to get my Thyroisdlevels tested again this afternoon. the Endo really wants to keep a close eye on the levels. I’m Hypothyroid and have been for about 12 years.
@Running Elley: How’s the hubs? Any anwsers.
@quiche: My first IUI worked as well.

I already have a doppler! My friend who just gave birth gave me hers. I won’t break it out until 10 weeks though…that’s when she said she was able to find it.

I’ll update π first yay for the bump rounding out my bump (LO) gives me constant rib pain I wake up in the night not being able to move, I had an appt this past tues and everything was fine but I do have a growth us next week and a non stress test the following week, I am terrified that this LO isn’t going to turn he goes from head up to transverse and at the appt the Dr checked and said he was head up, no one seems concerned bc they said he still has time, but I just have a bad feeling and I really don’t want a csection, I am trying some of the stuff on spinning babies but not going crazy, I might try the swimming thing if I can get over to my friends house soon, anyone have ideas on how to get this stubborn lil man to move? Other than that I’m feeling ok, how’s everyone else? ok and I just have to add that I looked like a crazy person the other night, I had a frozen bag of broccoli on the top of my belly and a warm pack with a flashlight on the bottom laying in bed LOL now that’s a sight π

@ms sweets: With my second she was breech until about 32-34 weeks. I did all of the crazy things. I even tried laying upside down on the last couple stairs, needless to say I got stuck and it didn’t work. But I did have to go to the dentist for a cleaning and when he leaned me back I felt her flip.

@ieatunicorns: So glad your first appointment went well! For your cramping issues, are you drinking a lot? The one thing my OB told me was to drink at least 80oz of water/day. Cramping can ensue due to dehydration.
@kayakgirl73: Glad to hear that you had a great first appointment too! That was our first sigh of relief! I also just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone with the numbness and tingling. A co-worker of mine had the numbness in her hands and fingers throughout her entire pregnancy. I have it just when sleeping. If I’m laying on my left side, my left arm and hand will fall completely asleep and I’ll wake up with pins and needles. Hopefully it starts to improve for you, but it seems to have gotten worse for me as time goes on.
@Running Elley: How is your DH?!?

@Running Elley: Oh my gosh, I somehow missed this thread until now. I’m so sorry to hear the scare with your husband. What did the doctor say about the results yesterday??!
@kayakgirl73: Congrats on graduating from the RE!!! THat’s a big milestone! I remember it like it was yesterday. I cried! π I had tingly sensations in my left foot during my 1st trimester and it eventually went away. And I know quite a few women have numbness, too. Not fun!
I’m still not sleeping well. Toss and turn all night. My snoogle just isn’t cutting it, I guess. And I still haven’t felt Baby P move in over a week, so I’m sad about that. Darn anterior placenta!! I really would give anything to feel movement!!

@2PeasinaPod: I have been having a super hard time with fluid. Juice taste too sweet, water makes me gag. I can do chocolate milk, shakes/smoothies, and jello. I think that is what is getting me backed up π

@ieatunicorns: I have a hard time drinking that much water too. Usually, I’ll take some kind of juice I like and water it down a ton. So if I have a pint glass, I’ll fill it a quarter of the way with juice, and the rest with water to get me to drink more. It’s more like flavored water than anything, but tastes a whole lot better than just water going down! I like to do it with lemonade too…that way it’s not as sweet.
@Jenn23: I’m so sad that you can’t feel baby right now. I hope you get to feel him more soon!

@ieatunicorns: YAY for Doppler purchasing! Mine has seriously saved my sanity. Father’s day will be the perfect time for an announcement! How are you planning on breaking the news? Have you tried crystal light to get the water down? I still can barely drink plain water without gagging. Crystal light has been a lifesaver.
@kayakgirl73: I kind of loved the fact that since I was considered high risk I got an U/S every 2 weeks in the first tri. It really is amazing to see how fast they grow! We have a 5 week picture where you can barely see a dot, by 7 weeks he looked like a caterpillar, by 10 he’d become a gummy bear and then at 12 weeks he looked like an actual baby! I think it’s amazing. I’m so glad to hear that your LO is growing on schedule and you got to hear that HB!
We’re still waiting for answers on DH. Cardiologist ordered more tests….bloodwork, treadmill stress test and possibly a satellite test that monitors his heartbeats for a full month (???). He has another appt next week so we’re just playing it by ear and trying not to worry about it *too* much.
@ms sweets: LOL love the mental image haha. Come on baby, turn!!

How long TTC: Next month would have been the 2 year marker… in fact in about 16 days!
Brief TTC Background Refresher: I have PCOS with and didn’t have a natural cycle for nearly 17 months because of it. It took a year of ttc to figure out that I had pcos, 7 months to lose enough weight to get my hormones sorted (50+ pounds, I don’t remember what I was at exactly in November, but I’ve lost a total of 66 now), and then I got pregnant and had a miscarriage – a chemical because I lost the baby at 4w3ds. It took another 6 months after that to get my cycles back to a working level again and I just found out last week that I’m pregnant again!! I’m 4w4ds today, so I’m past my previous mc hump.
First child?: Yes.
How far along/EDD: 4w4d/Due February 3, 2013!
Gender: Team green for the moment. π
Milestones: Nothing huge since it’s still very early, but I’ve been having bouts of nausea for the last several days, and I made it past the time frame that I lost my first child during, so that’s a happy thing!
Struggles: My struggles are my fears of another mc. I constantly wipe check and analise my symptoms. Another much more ‘minor’ struggle is that because of my age (I’m 36) and because of the fact that we had some bleeding after sex during the last pregnancy, we are holding off on sex until the 2nd tri. I don’t honestly know if I’m going to last until then! lol I want to jump my hubby all the time!
What are you most fearful/concerned about: Another miscarriage. I want this baby so much! I want my Mother-In-Law to still have some vision to see the baby when he or she is born and I know she’s not that far off of losing it completely.

@Running Elley: *hugs* Thank you!! I only found out last week, and this is pretty much my first post on here about it. I took a break from most every baby forum for most of the time after my mc, so I didn’t want to jump in on the long term ttc thread with a bfp from someone that most people on there probably don’t know. I’m so excited!!

OHMYGOSH this is my favorite thread in the history of foreverness!!!! Seriously! I haven’t been around WB much… just lurking here & there… and I am SO EXCITED to see all of you fabulous ladies who had once been waiting and are now PREGNANT!!!
My quick background… we tried for 8 months. I had a MC at 10 weeks with my first pregnancy and had a D&C. We had to take a 3 months break, and then I got pregnant my third month of trying after that. So it was a long road for someone as impatient as me… but now I am 34 weeks pregnant… my due date is in 6 weeks!!!!
To all of you who are very early on still, especially those who had a previous mc, I was soooo worried the first 16ish weeks of my pregnancy. I couldn’t shake the “what if this doesn’t work out again” feeling. it was really rough. But once I started feeling him move (16 weeks) and got all my test results back, I started feeling a lot better. A lot of my worries have disappeared. So hang tight… it does get better! And talk to your doc about your fears. A lot of doctor have no problem doing a quick ultrasound to “check” just to make you feel better… and it’s worth it!
Ahhhh, I’m so happy for all of you ladies!!!! π π π
