@iarebridezilla:  I wasn’t in bikini shape before I was pregnant (well, that’s not true.  I did have two bikinis and did wear them…..), but basically, as soon as I got pregnant, I started retaining water and gaining weight–even in the first trimester, when most women don’t gain at all!!

SO for me, bikini wearing has been a no-go.  I’m due in july, and I’m definitely at the “yucky belly” stage.  But I’ve seen a lot of girls that are preggie and in bikinis and they look adorable–they were probably more fit before pregnancy, and probably didnt gain weight in the first tri like a normal person.  So for them, they looked great, and more power to them!

Really, it’s just a case-by-case basis.  If you feel fine wearing them—wear them throughout.  I got a maternity tankini for my babymoon.  And with my exploding boobs and belly, I felt a lot more comfortable.  But you may be the opposite!

I had a six pack and am now currently 8 weeks pregnant. I’ve gained 3 lbs in water weight/bloat. In the morning my stomach looks nice and flat still(minus the muscle definition) but by 3pm its too bloated. I’ll wear bikinis when i’m around SO and fam only probably until i’m 5 months. After 5 months, no way. And if I were to go in public now I would go buy a tankini. Most of my guy friends don’t dig looking at a woman pregnant in a bikini, though my husband says he won’t care. I don’t even like to look a very pregnant women in bikinis, so i’ll be leaving those home this summer.

I’m in the wear it until YOU are uncomfortable with it, if that doesn’t happen then you are fine.  I think pregnant bellies are adorable and if you want to show it off and rock a bikini I will NOT judge!

That said, I’m borderline should/shouldn’t wear a bikini anyway (basically depends on what I’ve been eating that day), so when I’m pregnant I’ll be playing it by ear. 🙂

I love pregnant women in bikinis!!! Ok I just love pregnant women, I’m weird like that lol. No I just love the confidence of a pregnant woman in a bikini. I definitely did not have a six pack before getting KU but I only wore bikinis, I’ve just never been a one piece or tankini kind of girl. I’m very curvy and have only gotten curvier with my pregnancy. My Kim Kardashian butt is getting bigger according to DH and my boobs are ENORMOUS!!!

I’m just finishing up my first trimester, I’ll be 11 weeks tomorrow so I’m just at that beer gut stage. All of my clothes still fit with room to spare and I haven’t gained any weight but I’m going to be wearing maternity clothes soon because my belt is extremely uncomfortable. My belly sits right on top of it!

I went bathing suit shopping on Friday and after DH finished trying to put me in the most stripperish bikinis I’ve ever seen I found a really nice one that supports my bigger boobs and made me feel ok. I will be going to the lake next weekend in my brand new bikini and wearing that bikini throughout. Since lake season will be over around month 6 for me I’m hoping the stretch marks, crazy belly button and linea negra will not be an issue. I just can’t see myself in any of those hideous maternity suits though!!! So rock on girl, I’ll be right there with you!

When I was pregnant with my oldest (was born on August 28, 2002) I wore a bikini up until I gave birth.  I didn’t care, I was hot and miserable.

I have since had 2 more kids and my oldest is 11 and my twins are 8.  I have stretch marks and my tummy is fairly flat but not like it used to be.  I still wear bikinis.  I’m the type of person who doesn’t care what people think though.  If no one wants to see my stretch marks they don’t have to look lol.

@iarebridezilla:  Another thing to think about is the fact that you’re probably not going to be laying out there sunbathing, at least not toward the end of your pregnancy. You’ll be too hot and uncomfortable. If you’re just in the water nobody’s really gonna notice anyway. If you end up with stretch marks and all the unpleasantness and really turn self conscious you can always have DH stand by the water holding a towel when you get in and out so people won’t even see.

@iarebridezilla:  My son was born in the late summer, so I wore a bikini basically throughout the last trimester.  It was HOT carrying all that weight in the summer!  BTW, my electric bill was also through the roof because I had the AC running the entire time.  Lol.

@sit1010:  my boobs have outgrown my pre-preggo bikinis … where did you find your new suit??  I have a vacation coming up and would love to rock a bikini (I’ll be 22ish weeks) but I’m worried about supporting my girls!

I’m at the end of my pregnancy now (almost 37 weeks), so I was pregnant through cold weather but I would have worn a bikini until my stretch marks showed up (around 30 weeks) if I had been in a position to swim, and if I didn’t get any stretch marks then I would wear one until delivery! Rock that belly!

Now I’ll probaby never wear one again unless my stretch marks fade nicely! I’m pretty sad about that actually because one piece are not as comfortable! Who wants to swim with their torso all covered up?

I’m 8-weeks pregnant and also had a 6pack prior to getting KU’d.   I’ve only gained around 4 pounds, but my mid-section definitely looks like a really bloated gut now.  This past week I bought a tank-tini.  Currently it reaches down to the bikini bottoms (unless I lift my arms up) but in a few months it will probalby show the bottom 1-3 inches of my belly.  I don’t feel comfortable bearing so much now that I’m pregnant, but I still want to wear a cute two-piece, dammit! 😉
