I don’t know, but I almost wish my friend would let me have a different choice in a Bridesmaid or Best Man dress. I am going to be 31 weeks pregnant at her wedding, so probably getting a little biggerish. And this is her dress. Thank god I haven’t ordered it yet, but even so, ordering it 2 months in advance I will not be as big as I will be on the wedding day. OP, let me know what you end up doing as a solution, because I am getting a little worried about this, too, from a Bridesmaid or Best Man perspective! The bride is like, you will fit just fine! Umm..that’s a pretty low waist and not a very flowy skirt. We’ll see. Maybe I won’t turn into a super whale while pregnant. Btw…thanks for not shunning your pregnant bridesmaid. We pregnant bridesmaids appreciate it 🙂

The size of the bump really varies from woman to woman. I am 7 months pregnant but look almost as big as some 9 month pregnant women!! So it’s hard to predict..a maternity dress in the same colour would honestly be safest and most comfy for her. Also she might appreciate flat shoes by that stage.

@Whitney818: The craziest part is that she HAS been pregnant before! Ah well, hopefully it works out!

@cowgirlace: That dress is not likely to fit you at 31 weeks. Whe you order the dress, see if you can order some extra material. A seamstress can take the dress apart just under the bust, and turn it into an empire waist maternity dress.

@MrsWBS: Thanks for the thoughts! I think talking to a seamstress is definitely going to need to happen!
@Honeyblood: Thanks so much!
@HisIrishPrincess: I majorly appreciate it!
@ScottishMrs: Thanks for the thoughts! and I know! Its so complicated because some people are huge when pregnant and others just have a tiny baby bump the whole way through!
@cowgirlace: oh wow! yeah that one looks like it might be difficult as is! maybe you could have the alterations people put more pleats in the skirt so it can expand as your belly grows! I hope all goes well!!
@Mrsluckywife: hadn’t thought about the shoes! Thanks for the thought!
@jazzy14: oh wow! I’m sure it will but it is so hard not to stress I know!

I clicked for you and apologize if someone had this suggestion already, since I only read 1/2 the comments: If one of your BM’s are short or the dress is too long on one of the girls maybe you can use the extra fabric to create another layer/ruffle on the pregnant BM’s dress, add some high-low length or add some ruffles to the bust if she grows out of the top.
I wouldn’t worry it’s a beautiful dress and I think if she is so petite she might only “grow” in her waist and the empire is a perfect cut.
And somone already said this, but thank you for not making this a “how dare she get pregnant on MY SPECIAL DAY” thread.

Oh my fellow june 8th bride:) It is funny that I am in the same predictment almost. I found out a month or two back that one of my Bridesmaid or Best Man (FI’s little sis) is pregnant and will be 8 months on my day. And I was fine with it. The only concern I had was her health and wellbeing for that day, since she is young and this is her first. However in terms of the dress, the store we purchased her’s from actually wrapped a “fake” baby bump around her belly and ordered a size up for in case. Any good seamstress will be able to alter it. And by the sounds of how tiny your friend is, it might just be ALL belly so the flowy dress will look super cute and fit her fine…
