ooooh congratulations to her!!

my cousin (one of my bridesmaids) just found out she’s pregnant, too! she’ll be close to 7 months pregnant with her second during my wedding. we had already ordered her dress, too – but David’s Bridal let us swap it out for another style. We didn’t get a maternity dress, but instead, one of jersey material in the same color. This way, it’ll fit no matter how round she gets 🙂

David’s actually let two of my other BMs switch to the same dress, so they’ll still be uniform – 3 and 3! Pretty nice of them.

It really depends on the style of your dress and the material. She’ll be showing… but probably not huge yet.

we have a bridesmaid who’s also going to be about 6 months pregnant at wedding time.  She got a regular Bridesmaid or Best Man dress, but in an organza, flowy fabric an 1 size bigger (or maybe it was two?).  Has your Bridesmaid or Best Man been pregnant before? If she has, then she’ll probably know how big she might be by that time and can give you a recommendation.

And sorry, but I definitely think your second choice dress wouldn’t work.  It’s just not stretchy, and if you ordered it a size or two big it would be loose in all the wrong places and only tight around the middle.  maybe reconsider your Bridesmaid or Best Man dress picks?

For the record, this is the dress my pregnant Bridesmaid or Best Man ordered:

Your second dress will definitely not work.  The first choice might.  Several lines have maternity styles.  Even if she isn’t in the same dress, you can probably find something close.  Odds are, anything with an empire waist and fuller skirt will probably work.  She probably won’t be showing much at 5 weeks.

@sparkles_10: the second photo (in red) is our original dress, funny enough. they said it definitely won’t work (no give or stretch) for a growing belly.

our original bridesmaids’ dress, 4 girls will still be wearing this:

and the other 3 will be wearing this, but shortened:

our color is the second dress. for some reason, I can’t pull up a photo of the first one in the right color (horizon). I guess they don’t make it anymore? Not totally sure. Even though #1 is cotton and #2 is jersey, they look great next to each other!

My bridesmaid will be 7 months pregnant with her fourth baby at my wedding!   Since we already picked out the dresses and two were ordered, we opted to get her a dress from the same place, but got one with an empire waist and ordered an extra yard of fabric for her seamstress.

Check out jasminebridal.com for pregnant bridesmaid dresses. My Maid/Matron of Honor will be just about ready to pop with her second kid at our September wedding. She was very skinny with a basketball out front on the first child, but she thinks she will be a lot bigger this time. Jasmine has lots of dresses (B2 and Belsoie are the lines) where the regular dress can be made maternity so your girls can still all wear the same dress style. What we ended up doing though, is getting all different dresses for the girls and hers is a preggo style. But what was great about Jasmine was if the dress one of the girls liked wasn’t in the same fabric or color as another, they swap it out for another $15. good luck!
