Hang in there!  I hate it when doctors can’t give you an answer right away.  For retesting at home for pregnancy- most test recommend you wait at least 4 hours between peeing to test so the hormone is concentrated enough to detect.  I usually go with the pee in a cup and dip the test strip method because I’m just not coordinated enough for peeing directly on it.  Try to relax and stay calm.  I hope everything works out okay for you!

@nikkialys:  Also, try not drink too much before peeing again, as that can dilute your urine… however, if you haven’t had a period in awhile, chances are that if you are pregnant, you’d get a positive result even if your pee isn’t all that concentrated. I hope you get an answer soon!!! I’m surprised your doctor didn’t test you for that, just to rule it out.

PS – My Darling Husband is the same way – gets so frusterated with me for googling stuff and freaking myself out! I can’t help it though!

It’s possible. Let us know what happens.   Just wanted to share my DH’s take on things though: One time he googled some symptoms he was having and google’s all knowing answers pointed to him being pregnant…. just saying….(he liked to point this out every time I had a scare). Pregnancy shares a LOT of symptoms with other things too… so don’t freak out yet.  Easy advice to give, hard advice to take, I know…

I know you might not want to hear this, but most if the symptoms you describe can be attributed to PCOS as well as pregnancy. Prior to my diagnosis I was fatigued and emotional due to the change in hormones, and needed to pee a lot (thanks to the insulin resistance). I also craved food (hormones/insulin spiking) and had estrogen break through bleeding which can sometimes be as light as spotting.

I hope that you don’t have PCOS but it is treatable. Don’t stress too much about pregnancy, however, until you have something to stress about 🙂

@mrsc630:  What kind of tests are these?  Go get a digital.

@mrsc630:  Blue lined tests are the least accurate/hardest to read. If you think you got a faint positive though, it’s very possible that you are pregnant! I got pregnant on the pill taking it perfectly – one in 100 women do every year!

@mrsc630:  The blue line ones suck. Get a digital or a pink line one. Like the first response early result. Then do it with your first pee tomorrow morning. And keep us posted!!

@mrsc630:  The blue line ones are not especially reliable and well known for showing “evap” lines which look like positives if read after the window of time.  The one that looked positive after a couple of hours is very likely an evap rather than positive.  Get a pink line one or a digital to be sure.  (First Response Early Result are very reliable or really any store brand that has pink dye.)

Hope that helps.  Best of luck!
