A quick look through the BNF (British National Formulary) tells me that Glucosamine is not recommended by the manufaturer for use in pregnancy, but no details are given. Unfortunately a large number of drugs are not recommended in pregnancy as testing would be unethical (for obvious reasons!) and therefore potential side-effects cannot be ruled out.

Paracetamol (Acetaminophen) is considered safe in pregnancy, and can be effective. NSAIDs (such as Ibuprofen (Advil)) are generally not recommended unless the benefit outweighs any risk, and shouldn’t be used in the later stages of pregnancy. Opiod analgesics (Morphine, Tramadol, Oxycodone etc) are also generally not advised, particularly in late pregnancy, due to withdrawal symptoms in the fetus and respiratory problems.

I hope that helps a bit. You should go to your doctor for further information, but unfortunately your options are relatively limited.

I’m just adding something so I can come back and read responses. I’m not pregnant but very curious about this topic.
