I’m a little confused. I’m basically about 3 weeks late for my period. While I’m usually irregular but I also usually feel my period come on and yet I have NOTHING!! Zero symptoms. Ive had random days of slight nausea but I eat something little and it goes away. I’ve taken two pregnancy tests and they have both been negative yet for the last week all i have is these weird twinges and slight backaches. Like bubbles popping in your stomach. I keep waiting for my period to come but it hasn’t even shown signs of landing yet…
I plan on taking yet another test soon here but I’m a little worried and a bit annoyed with the twinges feeling like a bloated Michelin man. I can explain away my being tired(super busy time at work) and most other symptoms that I may have. (trying not to jump to conclusions yet). There is just this weird feeling that something is not normal with my body. Ive never felt this way before even with my irregular periods.
I seriously would be happy to know either way but while I have to be patient and since Google has failed me I figured I would head to my trusty fellow bees here…
Has anyone else had this?? Does it seem familiar to those of you who got pregnant or is it just a doozer of a period biding its time to kick my a**? -sigh-
Please post your experience on finding out…

I found out on CD57. I ovulated later than I had thought and it delayed me getting a positive.
If you’re running too late you may want to call a doctor. I had appt’s set up and things. You can be having an ectopic pregnancy which could cause damage, and it doesn’t produce a positive pregnancy test or it could be something as simple as you didn’t ovulate and therefore no AF

I didn’t know until I tested. I was a couple of days late, but I didn’t really “feel” pregnant. In retrospect, I was having weird twinges, just like you’re describing. I attributed them to cramps b/c I still thought my period was coming, but they didn’t actually feel like period cramps. If I were you I would test again.

I found out when I was two weeks late, after FOUR negative HPT’s. My first appointment is next week, so I’m not exactly sure what week I’m in. I just went of the pill in December, got my first AF just over a month later, and when I was late and kept testing negative, just assumed I wasn’t regular yet.

I was about 4-7 days late and I noticed I was getting bad headaches almost like clock work in the afternoons….not to mention the heartburn! lol which hasn’t stopped yet btw. Came home from Target on a Sat night and took a test, turned positive within seconds. I also noticed an increase and sensitivity to smells. They wouldn’t make me sick, I just noticed everything. Good Luck 🙂

@cyrgycyrg: I usually have spotting a few days before AF and so when it was 4 days before expected AF and there was no sign for spotting, I took an early test and it was a nice positive. I didn’t feel anything for about a week after I found out. From week 5 on I was super tired, hungry all the time, and felt nausea more on some days than others.
Hope this helps! and good luck finding out!

I think I knew right away. I got my BFP before my missed period but the dead giveaway was the boobs. They got super sore and started growing right away.

Same here! My boobs got sore almost immediately and grew lol. Also, for me, I got morning sickness pretty quick. And no period for 2 weeks after it was supposed to happen. Everyone is different though.

I took 4 tests on CD28 and got all very clear BFPs. I had my suspicions because my sense of smell was really amplified and things were making me nauseous very easily. I also was extremely tired and did feel many of those “twinges” you are taking about. Good luck!

Have you figured out what is going on yet? I would suggest going to the doctor and see what they say.

@PennyLainne: Ya I took yet another home test which came up negative. It’s almost reaching the point of the next potential cycle and if I skip that then I go to the doctor. It could just be my body is reacting to the very stressful last few months of work I’ve had too. It’s so frustrating but I guess I will just have to wait this one out and just be careful in the meantime.

@ cyrgycyrg …it’s a very sad story but PennyLainne is no longer with us. Please see this post:
Fall 2012 Mamas…. It’s a sad day today :'(
I hope you figure out whatever it is that is going on with your body. At least you are in tune and paying attention. Im sure it will be figured out very soon.

Well, I messed my period which is always on time. Then, I began having these odd cramps that I never felt before. I experienced this pink discharge, which ended up being implantation bleeding. The day after I found out, I started having morning sickness..wahh, but it went away around 9 weeks. My hunger was ridiculous. I would eat breakfast, then I would be hungry again in about 2 hours. It wasn’t the normal hunger I would usually experience. It was like I haven’t eaten in 2 days kind of hunger. This began around 5 weeks. Morning sickness 6 weeks-9wk. Bloating began around 8 weeks. Cravings began around 8 weeks.
