Does anyone have recommendations for good premarital counseling programs, or tips on how to find one? A lot of them seem like scams so I’m hesitant to sign up for whatever I find on the internet. It looks like my sister is getting a divorce, which has me nervous enough that I would like to do this, but they’re also so expensive…and it would have to be a secular class. Any suggestions? What do you guys think about premarital counseling?

They usually always have them at churches.. not sure if you’d need to be a member or not.. obviously it depends on the church and denomination. But if you’re not into the God thing, then I’d probably stay away from the church premarital business.

Orrr. just go see a marriage and family counselor! You can find one by calling the number on the back of your insurance card 😀

Yeah, I second the insurance card… Your insurance won’t refer someone who is a scam. Good luck.
My husband and I went to marriage counseling about 2 weeks before our wedding. We had some issues we needed to talk to someone about. As you can see, we got married. Still need to keep going to counseling but we are getting there.
