Where to begin…
After a lengthy feeling out process, we decided on Brett. Because of all the craziness of the wedding planning, I made the HUGE mistake of not looking up his reviews, perhaps I confused his with someone elses… I dont know. MY MISTAKE.
Everything was fine, he promised me he would email to let me know when he got our contract and the check for half of the fee. ($775). A week later, nothing. He DID cash the check of course. This was when I discovered his horrible reviews. I emailed him 6 times, called him at least 4, VOICEMAIL BOX DIDNT WORK and texted several times as well. My fiancee sent a couple emails too.. The early emails were simply asking for the confirmation that he promised. (dated Aug. 30) As it became apparent that he had no intention of contacting us, the emails grew a bit more concerned. The last email we sent was Sept 12th, informing him that we would be moving forward with a new videographer and wanted our money back ASAP or would pursue legal action.
SEPT 21, I got an email from Brett, apologizing for not getting back in touch and explaining that he was “out of the country” in a place where his phone didnt work. and JUST got back and was catching up on emails. Apparently he was in a location that didnt have the internet yet? Or is unaware of something called WiFi?
His email took the completely ludicrous tactic of pretending that he hadnt read the myriad of other emails and text msgs that we sent. Acted like he was still expecting to film our wedding, (crazy) and promised to call me the next day. (As of today, the 26th, no word) Crazy.
Heres the kicker: Unbeknownst to Brett, (who I know will read this) we had my friend email Brett for information. My buddy received a prompt email back. (dated SEPT 19th)
This is no longer incompetance, its straight criminal. We are now taking Brett to court. I urge anyone with similar experiences to make them heard. This clown shouldnt be allowed to practice business.
