I’ll be sure to talk with the doc in November about prenatals too, just in case she has some words of wisdom or advice 🙂
Thanks again everyone! Lots of great suggestions/recommendations! Once I get this stupid paper done for class, I’ll start looking!
Rainbow light prenatal one (i split in half because it is a bit big for me). The rainbow light complete made me throw up, and the schiff synthetic ones made me sick. I take viva prental DHA and have never had a fishy burp or aftertaste whatsoever- highly recommend.
Are you trying to get pregnant or already pregnant?
Folic acid is necessary when conception occurs and the neural tube is formed in the baby. After that time, extra supplements aren’t going to reverse any malformations of the baby.
Personally, I would never take a multivitamin. If I get pregnant I will eat healthy. Not take synthetic vitamins.
Iron constipates. So beware.
I take 5mg Folic Acid each day as recommend by my Gynea. She said the other vitamins are essentially a waist of money. The folic acid pills cost about a tenth of what pre-natals would have cost me.
