I think the DHA helps with brain developement! I would just make sure the amount of DHA is equal to the prenatal and you should be fine.

I’m taking one that is a prenatal multi-vitamin plus DHA in one pill.  It’s brand is Nature Made.  I’m seeing a lot of dual pill packs with the prenatal as one pill and the DHA as another lately.  The gummy I used to take had folic acid and DHA, but no iron.  I don’t know about the fish oil being sufficient.  It would be awesome if it were since fish oil caplets often go on sale while prenatals do not.

From what I read, yes, DHA is in fish oil. That’s basically what they added to the pre-natals for the DHA.

As long you as you are taking DHA, it doesn’t have to be in one pill with your prenatal. I took DHA seperately. It’s a fish oil, but the prenatal DHA version has more DHA than the same brand regular fish oil my husband takes. (I take New Chapter Perfect Prenatal vitamins and Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA)

You should also take extra vitamin D.
