Yes, it’s a breeze. Basically the priest is going to ask you to swear that there are no impediments to the marriage: if you’re doing this of your own free will/haven’t been kidnapped or coerced, etc., and that you’re not currently married, and that you haven’t taken vows of virginity/celibacy, and that there’s no physical reason that would prevent you from having sex. All of those are things that would invalidate the marriage in the Catholic church. He will also ask you about whether/when you’ve been baptized and confirmed.

The main thing for your Fiance is probably whether he’s been baptized (even if it wasn’t in a Catholic church, it would be good for him to get those details), and then whether he’s ever been married before. If he’s divorced, there will be some bureaucracy involved because he’ll need to seek an annulment.

My fiancé and I recently did this too and he is also not catholic. I was nervous but it really wasn’t that bad thankfully. He ended up not separating us, just told the other party they couldn’t talk while he was interviewing the other party. We had done our pre-Cana prior to our first meeting and he just told us he’d want to meet with us 2 more times before the wedding, which we are about to do our second meeting on Monday actually. Good luck to you!!!
