My center stone is pre-owned and it doesn’t bother me at all. It is how we got such a great deal on it and I was able to find a more expensive setting that I loved and make it my own ring! I don’t even think twice about it being pre-owned and really you don’t have to tell anyone.

My ring was preowned. Picked it out myself! Got an amazing deal on it and I absolutely love it!!

I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but I didn’t want a diamond or anything that expensive. So it was a nonissue.

I’d have no problem with buying preowened, only so far I’ve found much better deals on online shops with new rings than anything preowened. Also not many people seem to have owned the rings I’m looking for (ie coloured diamonds in very specific settings).

@Milan21xx:  Now THAT is a bargain! You’d never be able to buy that new for anything like $650. Beautuful setting too.

I think the pre-owned would have to be specified…I think I’d feel like I was walking around in someone else’s ring, or that the karma from that ring would follow it…crazy talk?? :-/ I’d rather have a fresh beginning and new ring, unless it was a family heirloom that I’d always dreamed of.

I totally say go for it! My wedding band is a 5 stone 1.0 TCW platinum band that was only $800 versus over $2000 in the store. I love it and it polishes up like brand new!
