I’m looking for some good suggestions for a "Thank You" present for my parents, who are throwing/paying for our wedding, giving us a large monetary present towards a downpayment on a house AND paying for part of our honeymoon. (Needless to say, we are VERY grateful!)
We would like to spend around $300 on the present/gift.
The only thing is, my parents are the kind of people who can "buy anything" for themselves, so while they appreciate ANY gift, it’s almost pointless to get them gift certificates for anything (they don’t like massages, spa treatments, mani/pedi’s, etc.) They are also homebodies, so a stay at a B&B would not interest them, neither would a night in a nice hotel. They are set in their ways as far as dining out is concerned as well, and like I said, they can "buy it themselves", so dinner on us, no matter how fancy, wouldn’t impress them.
I DO want to do something with these two photographs of me as a baby, one of me with my mom, and one of me with my dad. I know that I will be enlarging and framing those in a "Things Remembered" sort of frame, but that is from ME and not US.
I’d like to do something personal. But WHAT can you do that is extravagant ($300) AND personal?
