oh ladies, I am so excited!! I have loved loved loved LOVED Monsieur Louboutin’s shoes for a long long long time now, and there was a part of me that really wanted to wear a pair of his shoes down the aisle. So I have been stalking the ‘Bay since before we got engaaged, hoping the “perfect” shoe would show up. And non did. And Ms Snapple got a bit unhappy and despondent about it. So she looked at other options. And she bought other shoes. And got more discouraged and more despondent, because nothing was working.
Untill a new pair of CL shoes showed up on the bay. Right size, check. Right heel height, check. Demure, check. Light color, check. Barely been worn, check.
So now presenting my new-to-me Louboutin wedding shoes!!!!
Because of the lower heel I won’t tower over my FH, and additionally they are super comfy!! They are currently a really pretty robin egg blue color, which I love… however…. I’m not a colored-shoe bride.
Sooo…. these are going to become DIY shoes…I’ll be painting them pearly white, possibly strassing the heels or doing a scattering of crystal near the rear of the shoe, and maaaybe adding lace. I was unable to find my dream shoe out there in real life, so now I have a pair of shoes by my dream shoe designer, and I’ll create my perfect wedding shoe….pearly, demure, with a hint of sass. 🙂

@PeachSnapple: Eek! Love those shoes…but I love that they are robins-egg blue with the red contrast. Not sure how I would feel about painting Louboutins…
I guess you’ll have to show us your creation when you’re done! Good luck!

Eeek please don’t paint them! They are beautiful as is. What about adding a crystal clip like this one from Etsy?

If you are going to DIY shoes, why not purchase a cheap pair? I don’t understand purchasing expensive shoes if you are just going to ruin them. What if you mess up? What if you don’t like them after you change them?

@PeachSnapple: Do not paint!! I think you just agve all the ladies on here a heart attack! You paid all that money for a red sole? Seriously? Keep them the way they are…

I couldn’t agree more with what the previous comments say! Even finding a deal on ebay, those are NOT cheap shoes!! If you want to DIY your shoes please start with a less expensive pair! They are a lovely blue that will hardly look like a “colored shoe” when everything comes together.
