I’ve never gotten real fake nails in my life. I know what I’m doing with some nice quality press-ons and had planned on that, but in the city where I’m marrying, it’s not exactly expensive to get a manicure.
Natural nails are not an option, mine are EXTREMELY weak and don’t grow properly. I’m just scared because the press ons are a known quantity – I can apply them myself, I know exactly how to modify them to my liking, I know what they’ll look like, I know how much pressure I can put on them, how long they’ll last, what it’ll feel like when they come off, how to take them off early by myself if I want to.
For a real manicure it seems I have to sacrifice that level of control… I don’t know what to do if I break or lose a “real” fake nail, or how I can pop them off, etc. But the quality is probably a lot better.
Any thoughts? Also if I get a “real” manicure, any tips on what kind I should get as someone whose hands get banged up a lot?
