Hi! I am looking to do eucalyptus with garden roses as garland on our tables. However, the labor cost for making garland is sooo much! Has anyone just laid flowers down the center of a rectangle table rather than had garland actually made by a florist? Pic of what I’m thinking of doing:

There’s really a lot of cleaning and trimming involved when making garlands … even if you’re just planning to lay branches down on the table, you’ll spend a lot of time fussing to get them to lay flat or mound up in the appropriate areas. Also, you’ll need water tubes for your roses. Try setting one up on your dining room table to see how long it takes you and compare with how much time you actually have the day of to prepare.

My florist just laid loose eucalyptus and roses on the tables. Same effect, but much more cost effective!

My florist recommended this as well – laying the eucalyptus or other greenery/floral flat, as most of the cost comes from the time to actually make the garland.
