Anybody have any firsthand experience of really beautiful places to get married outdoors in early spring or fall?
I love the look of Montana, Utah and Colorado. Anybody know of some specific sites? Thanks!!

@mousepeach: I don’t remember any specific sites (visited when I was young) but I bet you are going to have the most beautiful wedding! Eloping in the mountains sounds absolutely romantic.
@mousepeach: I’m planning on a very small, intimate wedding in Yosemite! I was originally thinking of eloping there, there are tons of awesome pictures online and elopment packages for weddings inside the national park!
I am from CO.
2 places that come to mind are Estes Park and Manitou Springs.
Here are 2 websites:

Happy Planning!
Does it have to be in the US? what about Banff, Alberta? There are tons of elopment packages and you could stay in my faorite hotel, the Banff Springs!
@mousepeach: That was also our requirement! Must have mountains in view – the bigger the better.
Do you want something that has a hotel/lodge right there? Or just go to a secluded spot somewhere that is not associated with any hotel/lodge?
Our first choice was Grand Teton National Park. The Wedding Tree is on forest land (free), Schwabacher’s landing is on national park land ($50 permit). In fact we almost had it at these locations.

PS Luxe Mountain Weddings is one of my favorite sites:
@sienna76: Wow! thanks so much – I’m going to check these out.
@mousepeach: Since we cancelled the Teton wedding (we can go to the Tetons any weekend), we had to go BIGGER and FURTHER for mountains. So we eloped to Yoho National Park in BC Canada. Banff was on the list too, but Yoho was more intimate and fit our needs. I researched this area extensively if you need any input!
Some pretty Banff National Park elopements:

Here was our elopement in Yoho National Park (next to Banff):
Grand Teton National Park or Glacier National Park.
Check out Big Cedar Lodge. It’s beautiful and they have a new chapel that is gorgeous!
Sedona, Arizona is really beautiful and unique, we did our engagement pictures there.
Coastal Maine! We have mountains AND sea! (Camden, Acadia, Bar Harbor…)
Oh yeah, and I’m in Utah! I think Sundance Resort would be the most mountainous place to elope in Utah with near by accomodations and eating at the resort. Tons of fancy rental homes to rent. Also was on our list.
I second everything that sienna76 said! Glacier and the Tetons are especially ridiculously scenic.
