I was really pleased with how the straps I had made for my dress turned out 🙂  It’s appliques from some gorgeous lace I bought (which is also added at one hip and borders the train) on tulle.  I don’t have any pro photos back yet, but here are a couple of guest photos that show the front and back of my dress …

I’m surprised no one put up Princess Kate’s dress.  I love her dress.  And Grace Kelly.

I am a sucker for Pronovias dresses and their subsidiarity lines.

My runner up dress. La Sposa Master

There are so many gorgeous dresses in this thread – I love it! I’m definitely a sucker for straps. These were a few of my favorites back when I was trying on gowns.

And because what bride isn’t biased – I also love love love my actual dress, especially because of the straps. (The pictures are from my most recent fitting appointment. I can’t wait to go back next week!)

These are from my list of favorite dresses 🙂

Off-the-shoulder gown made of re-embroidered lace features a flowing A-line chapel-length skirt with a scalloped hem.

Gown features lace. Matching veil available.

Delicate, yet dramatic, this striking sleeveless mermaid gown with embellished corded lace on Point d‘Esprit is a head-turner, indeed. Handmade flowers christened with Swarovski crystals adorn a ruched satin waistband, while covered buttons disguise a zipper closure.

Gown features lace.

I love me some straps! And these are beautiful. I’ll add some of my own:

First I have to show off mine! Watters Escalante!

Some others that I loved:

Athena by Tara Lynn

Pretty beading:

Cute little cap sleeves:

And the dress that I fell in love with but was hand made and not on the market:

Another Papilio:

@aggie2010:  Cuz. DAMN.

Damnit, I’m getting married in 26 days, I guess it’s too late to go buy that first dress. I’m drooling here, wow.
