I was pretty happy with my look. I do think my hair looked less pretty on my wedding day than at our trial, which I attribute to the fact that the salon had four (yes, four!) wedding parties they were helping at the same time me and my girls were there, but overall, it looked just fine.

I kind of wish I’d had a sweetheart neckline, but that’s something I realized a month or two after buying my dress; I just didn’t have the time or funds to change my mind.

Oh, and I wish someone would have told me to hold my bouquet lower for photos! Didn’t realize how much better it looks until after the fact.

All small potatoes!

@ForeverBlessed:  same here…still sad about my hair.  I let myself be talked into a style, when I knew better.  I would have accessorized more/better too.  Normally that is my thing, but I was so focused on other details I shopped for that kind of stuff literally days before.

My first hair trial didn’t hold and I was going to wear it down and my make up was too natural and didn’t pop the way I had hoped. Here’s the picture from the first trial

So I changed it to an updo and asked her to glam me up instead

I wish I had ordered a larger size dress so there wouldn’t be any issues with the way my back looked, I thought the veil would cover it however that got caught on the cement and I didn’t get to wear it down the aisle. I wish someone put the veil back in when we reached the gazebo and that someone would have put my shawls on to cover it up.

I felt very much myself on our wedding day. I wear my makeup pretty natural anyway and so i didnt sway from that the day of. I wanted my hair to be a little more flowy and loose but still very happy with how it turned out. The only big thing I go back and forth on was my dress. I dont regret wearing a tea length dress but wish I had more time to look at other dresses. I had originally wanted something floor length, slim fit, very antique looking…. Overall i still loved my dress, hair, makeup etc. everyone looks gorgeous on here!!! πŸ™‚

I felt absolutely gorgeous!  I love makeup and didn’t mind getting all dolled up… and my hair came out better than I pictured it.  I just wish the curl didn’t fall because I had to bring a curling iron with me and have my girls curl my hair again during cocktail hour.  So perhaps if I had to pick something, I wouldn’t have let it get that long and/or wouldn’t have conditioned it the night before.  My dress fit me like a glove, I loved everything about it..

I think my hair trial turned out better than my actual wedding day hair did.  Probably because stylists wanted to just curl it and pin it to get a rough idea of the shape and what she would do.  I remember leaving the trial really satisfied and her saying “don’t worry, I will spend more time pinning every single curl into place on the actual wedding day.”  What she didn’t realize is that I liked the looser more romantic feel of the quickly done look as opposed to the more contrived and perfectly pined look that day.  Here are some pics.  Overall I am probably just being my worst critic and I probably was the most beautiful I will ever be on that day.

The trial…

and the wedding day…..

at least my veil sort of hid the overly contrived curls and they loosened by the end of the night.  I guess I do feel beautiful in this pic with my dad.  I didn’t know it was being taken which makes it more special.

i’m overall happy about how it end. I ended up with a different hairstyle than the picture i’ve shown to the hairdresser but nothing could stay normally on a weather like the one we had. Humid and windy. I had my bridal sessions separately and i kinda lack the volume there too, but it’s really humid where i live, always rainy and foggy. here are the pictures session picturewedding pictures.

I loved the way my hair came out, it was my favorite thing.  I wish I had gone a little more dramatic with my makeup, it was really understated.  Also, my wedding dress didn’t photgraph well (I thought), I just didn’t think the pictures did it justice and I would have done something different with the undergarment to make myself look a little curvier.

@KYbride86:  uh me too (dress sliding down)! I didn’t even mean to lose weight before the wedding but I guess because of stress, I did. The worst bit is that because my dress was a scoop neck, I couldn’t find any bras to wear with it.  So, yup, I flashed all my guests. Probably multiple times. πŸ™  So embarassed.  If I could have changed anything…it would have been that. I wished I had bought a dress with sleeves.

You can see my dress already falling down during my first look.

Other then that…i LOVED my wedding look. I really loved my make-up and hair and I felt absolutely beautiful all night long, more beautiful then I ever normally feel πŸ™‚

@r-atkinson:  That made my whole day πŸ™‚ I used a 1 1/2 inch clipless iron. I bought the cheapest one they had at Target. I wrapped each piece around the barrel, released it into my hand, then pinned it to my head with bobby pins(like pin curls). After my whole head was pinned, I sprayed it with  Tresemme extra hold hair spray and let it set while I did my makeup.  When I took the pins out, I finger combed it out once, then applied a styling creme to my palms and used mypalms to tug the curls down a bit. They were REALLY curly at first. The pictures  I posted were after my curls fell. Even after falling, I still had a great amount of curl. Hope that helps even a little πŸ™‚

I did not love my hair or makeup. I did not look the most beautiful I ever looked. In fact I thought I looked more smoking for my bridal shower. I did feel the most beautiful I ever felt. The way mu husband looked at me melted my heart, and everyone made me feel just freakin’ amazing.

Also, I think brides who post should include pictures of said day in question πŸ˜‰
