Going to see how much alterations are gonna cost. It is already hemmed and has a bustle in place. Just need to take it in ALOT! I have been the same size for a lonnng time so thats good! It is a 6, I need a 2! I just want to start now so I can try it on and feel better 🙂 Like when I 1st had it and it fit great! When it was the proper size I just needed a bit taken in the bust area. Hope it does not cost a ton! Its a taffeta bodice and tulle skirt.

I just picked up my wedding dress from the tailor’s shop on Saturday. I was very pleased with the alterations. I had the train removed (too long), the straps shortened and some fabric from the train added to the bustline because it plunged a bit too low in the cleavage. It was only $60 for all the work they did and it only took a week.
I’m so glad I chose a tailor over a bridal shop! Much less hassle & quicker turn-around. The girls at the shop loved working on my dress. They said it was a break from hemming pants and working on men’s garments all the time. At first I was hesitant about going to a tailor, but they advertised as also working on wedding gowns. I had a great consultation with them when we took the gown in to be altered and they did a fabulous job.
Just wait until you get your dress back and it fits perfectly! It’s even better than the day you picked your dress. You’re going to feel like a princess when you put it on again!!! Post some pics when you get your dress.
