I thought it could’t be done, but FH managed to surpirse me with a proposal I knew was coming!
Back story: After doing some summer ring browsing, FH told me that he planned for us to be engaged before Valentine’sDay of 2019. He hit some snags in the search of a sapphire in the perfect shade of champagne/peach (little to no pink tones). This took much longer than expected and brought us to the last weekend of January, 3ish weeks before the February deadline. All the while he kept me updated on the status of the stone search and even when he had seen the CADs. Needless to say, I knew this was coming.
Fast forward to yesterday morning: I am a teacher and was called from my room to a quick meeting. Upon returning to my room I opened the door to my students quiet and as still as can be. At first I thought something was wrong, but then I saw 4 black and white signs: WILL YOU MARRY ME being held by 4 beaming students. That’s when FH ran towards me and proposed. Upon my nod and ecstatic YES my students burst into applause along with my sister (hello bee) and a handful of coworkers. Some of my students recorded the event and put it on FacebookLive (lord help me, what if I become a meme?) and SnapChat. After lots of kisses, hugs, and a few happy tears he left and I had to continue teaching the rest of the day! I received so much love from my students and colleagues, it was truly a dream come true.
Anyways, here she is in all her peachy glory: 1.17ct natural peach sapphire from Madagascar
