I’ll try and keep this short, but I have the tendency to be long winded. My SO and I decided to go through the process of designing our own ering and having it done by a Chinese company, so letting him have his moment with the surprise of the proposal is important for both of us. My sister has been involved for months as he wanted some kodak pictures of the moment.Yesterday he told me to pick an outfit that he can take with him the day of so it can still remain a surprise for me, and I can still get photos in nicer clothes (I’m a very casual person, I mostly wear gym clothes and band shirts) but I do want to look nice in some pictures and not have the possibility of me showing up in sweats which is very possible haha. So I texted my sister about coming shopping with me to find an outfit, and she asked for my SO to give her an update on plans so she can work her schedule around it.I share a laptop with my SO, and work from home on it. He uses firefox I stick to Chrome so our stuff doesn’t get mixed up. I noticed a few weeks ago his FB was up and his IM notifications were popping up while I was using it. I asked him to exit out of fb so I wouldn’t see anything and he did. Well today I’m working away and a notification pops up, I wasn’t even trying to read it but I didn’t know what it was so before I knew what I was doing it, I scanned it. It was a message from my sister to my SO about the proposal and she put the date in there. So I guess even though he exited FB from his tabs, the notifications were still coming through. He picked may 4th because I love Star Wars and some have coined 05/04 as May the 4th (be with you) so it has quite the attachment to the date. So I don’t know if I should tell him I saw and him change the date to something that won’t mean as much, or just try my best to forget about it and just enjoy the thought he put into it. I feel like with the idea he has for a proposal that I’ll know before it happens, so I don’t know if it’s worth telling him over. I’m excited regardless, but I was looking forward to some sort of element of surprise.
