@inky_1:  That stinks! I get you though, I don’t think I’d trust anybody not totally qualified to handle wedding gowns. Looks like from your other responses you found somewhere to go though! If all else fails, maybe hang it in your bathroom between now the wedding and take absurdly hot showers until the wedding. Good luck!

The salon probably has an industrial steamer that can take those out.

Yes – for all the other brides out there – you should not keep your dress in the bag.  When I picked mine up, they told me the bag was for transporting it only and to take it out of the bag as soon as possible.  It was easy for me since I picked it up 3 days before my wedding though.

If you get the drrss professionally steamed it will be fine! I’m sure if you call around enough you can find another bridal shop that will steam your dress for you, obviously for a fee.

Hang it up in your bathroom on the back of the door and turn the shower on as hot as it will go and close the bathroom door. Let the water run for about 30-45 minutes. I did that with all of my prom dresses and it steams the wrinkles right out.  Just go back in, smooth it down, and voila!

ETA: just read your update. Glad you got it taken care of!

I know with other clothes I have gotten super wrinkled and was afraid to iron, I hung it up in the bathroom while I took a shower and the steam did I decent job relaxing the wrinkles (still a bit visible, but nowhere near as bad as they were before)

oops, just read the update. glad your dress is perfect again =)
