So I am not engaged….yet….but we are talking about our wedding because….well im helping to plan a friends wedding and she is doing an ice cream bar at her reception….well my SO and i were thinking….what about a pretzle bar….how about it gals….not the crappy from a bag preztle….but the big soft yummy ones that you can cover with cinamon and sugar, nacho cheese, salt, garlic butter….its endless possibilites….he thinks people would think its weird…what would you think….
this is as like a cocktail hour food favor possibly at the reception…..

I am having a hard time figuring out how this would work trying to eat this without getting it all over me.
Its a fun idea, but probably a very messy one. Maybe you could do pretzel nuggets instead of the really large pretzels? The it would be easier to “pop” into the mouth.

OMG, this is a fantastic idea. As long as you don’t use the frozen ‘SuperPretzels’ – as a Philadelphian, they offend me 😉

I love pretzels! Yum! Good idea 🙂

I almost got a prezel today at the mall, but since I had just had lunch with my dad 2 hours before, I talked myself out of it….now you’re making me regret that decision. Do it!!!!!!

I am a sucker for big pretzels ANYTIME! This is a great idea to me 🙂 mmaybe ones of those “later night snack” type of deals!
Quick story: I tried to order a soft pretzel at Target on Saturday and when I asked for cheese they said they didn’t sell cheese anymore…WTH!!!! In my opinion, if you don’t have cheese or some other dipping sauce, the pretzel is hardly worth it! I was upset to learn that so I didn’t even order the pretzel 🙁

I agree wth PP, I’d try to have pretzel sticks or nuggets so people didn’t have to worry about sharing. And I’d stick with dips rather than cinnamon sugar or anything that could fall off and get on people’s clothes.
But, one of my favorite apps ever is the housemade soft pretzels at a local bar, served with cheese cubes and spicy mustard. so good!

I think this is adorable! I would be concerend about being able to make quality pretzels in buik. I would go with nuggest or ‘breadstick’ like pretzels with different dipping sauces:
nacho cheese, cinnamon butter, nutella, mustard, cream cheese frosting

I think it’s a cute and unique idea. I’m kind of ambivalent on them though. I’m not a pretzel fan, but I think that it’s so fun that a lot of people would enjoy it!
