As I sit here in the coffee shop, sipping my turtle mocha and enjoying a too-expensive-but-very yummy bagel, I was wondering what you other bees do to prevent going bonkers from stress in that last week before your wedding?
I seriously cried the other day in the library (at school, how embarrassing) because of a $$ issue we had with the church. Ugh! Totally their fault, and pretty lame, but still, I was just stressed to the max. So to relax today, I’m sitting at the relaxing coffee shop, working on making up our ‘day of schedules’ for everyone, delegating things to people! (new concept to me), and scheduling a massage for next week. And treating myself by buying some make-up 🙂 I’m working on just being happy about this next week, and passing off the things that are causing me too much stress.
What’s your go-to happy place, bees? Has anyone else had a totally dumb semi/full-blown meltdown in those last few weeks leading up to the big day?

@indibee: I envy your ability to delegate! That in itself stresses me out! Something I do to de-stress is to log off Weddingbee (So hard, but sometimes, so necessary!) and log into Pintrest (but stay away from my wedding board!) and start pinning away!
Also, a nice long bath and a glass of wine do the trick!

Running & yoga. Namaste 🙂
ETA: and wine. Lots of wine!

@mrsaponte: Believe me, my type-A, perfectionist self is having a tough time with it, but with the proper prep work, delegating isn’t *so* bad. I’ve made charts of how the table #s need to go up and how the tables need to look, so each of my helpers is getting a little info page or two so that it’s hopefully foolproof. But if not, whatever, there will be food and dancing and I’ll be married. 🙂 Hahah.
And yes, I’ve bought more wine than ever in the last month, and I don’t even like wine! Haha. And I NEVER splurge on myself, so this coffee-massage-makeup day is totally out of character, but Mr.ND just told me that I deserve it for all the hard work, and he wants me to be happy. What a love!

Anything at the spa. And beer. If the spa had beer I would never leave.
I can also give myself a pretty damn good manicure, which is lots cheaper. Even taking the time and home and doing it myself is a nice, calming treat. Maybe it’s the fumes.

It’s not the week before my wedding, but my answer is always… Alcohol. Bloody mary, mimosa… mmmmmmm

@DaneLady: Running does help me, too. Gets my angry out 🙂
@sweetcrackers: LOL @ ‘maybe it’s the fumes.’ Hahaha. And yes, my sister and I got silly on Mike’s Lemonade doing placecards. We were a mess, and when we woke up, they were all nice and (pretty much) alphabetized. Sober NDBee had to re-check Drunk NDBee’s work, though, hahaha.
@MadameTussaud: I think that alcohol is a general consensus! Hahah. I think a bottle should be sold with each bridal planning binder!
