My invites cost 65 cents a piece,  Its a pretty standard denomination for wedding invites.  They even have wedding stamps at the post office.

Ours were just at 2oz (pocketfold invite with 3 inserts) to mail out, regular letter shape (you get charged extra for square shapes), and were $0.65 each to send out.  We are doing online RSVPs so I don’t know how much those cost.  If you’re sending out postcard Save-The-Date Cards I think it’s less than the standard $0.45.  We had some invites go out to Canada too, so those were a bit more.  Hope this helps.

@MrsFutureG:  Invites were standard .45 cents/ea. to mail plus .32 cents/ea for RSVP postcards.  And months before that we paid .32/ea for STD postcards.

I’ve heard standard .45 cent stamps will be going up to .46 cents in 2013, so you might want to buy some Forever stamps now if you care about the price difference.  I wouldn’t buy stamps until you have your fully executed invite tho, so you can get an accurate weight.

Also, depending on how you address your envelopes it could be .45 or .65 cents.

Is it tacky if I hand deliver all of the local ones to save money?

@MrsFutureG:  Yes, it adds up! Good thing you are calculating it into your budget!
