We just went ring shopping for my wedding band and was quoted $1700 for a yellow diamond pave eternity band In platinum. Its about .25 karats total.
Does that price seem high or competitive ? How much did you pay for your pave wedding band?

Mine is a white gold 2mm diamond eternity band in a size 6.5 that cost $1200. No idea of the carats as it was a match to the e ring and those specs were more important. 😉

You’re paying for a) the platinum, and b) the fancy color diamonds.

my hubs (wholesale jeweler) would make that for $750 – $1000 – so i’d say yes – a bit high – sounds like a retail price

I got a half eternity 18k wedding band in rose gold for about $200. It is slender though.

I got my two sizeable eternity bands for about $900 each. They are 14k white gold and each is 3/8 tcw.

It’s expensive because it’s platinum. Working with platinum is also more difficult than working with white gold. I think it’s a reasonable price. My plain platinum wedding band costs about a thousand dollar.

My micro pave band in 14k yellow half eternity with 25 stones tcw .15 was like $995. We are friends with the jeweler so we got a bit of a better price, but this is the ring on the supplier’s website (in white gold… the yellow was a special order, but the MSRP was the same).

I am sure you are not interested in this based on the platnium and yellow colored diamonds, but my CZ silver band cost $36. That’s a much better price. I have a white gold and 1.0 carat diamond ering, and you can’t really tell a difference.

@Ms.BlueEyesDC: Sounds about right. Check out Henri Daussi’s bands too… I’ve seen that they have yellow diamond bands.

I actually think that’s a pretty good price, assuming the yellow diamonds are high quality. Diamonds by Lauren has a yellow diamond wedding band with .32 ct in 18k yellow good for the same price and yours was quoted for platinum. Sounds like a good price to me!

Mine’s about .76 and it was 2400… so I think you’re doing ok with that price.
