So we are in a bit of a crisis. Our Weddings in 4 half months.. We have booked a gorgeous little church in Kildare which is outside of our parish.
The priest in Kildare will not marry people outside of the parish and both of our priets cannot travel as they are the only priests in the church at the moment.
We dont know now where else to look for or get a priest.. We have to have all the details by the end of june for the registration and I am extremley stressed out now.
Would any1 have any idea of what we can do?? 🙁

Have you already paid the church in Kildare? If not, is there any way you could get married in your own parish, or are all of the dates already booked? Even if your local church is not very pretty it would probably be better than getting married outside the catholic church (if that is a problem for you).

Hmm, perhaps get the options you have directly from that church, if the priest won’tmarry people outside the parish (our won’t either) and they let you book it, they have to have a priest to recommend you to contact, I’d imagine. Or contact their diocese office to have them recommend a priest?

@tinley.tubbert: Start praying to St. Brigid?
You might see if there are any larger parishes nearby and call the priests, explain the situation and see if one of them might be able to help out.
Do you have any connections to a priest from a monastery, abbey or an order not directly affiliated with a diocesan parish? They might have a bit more freedom to go somewhere to officiate.
