You use both moisturizer and primer.  Primer helps to keep your makeup on your face by controlling oil and shine.  I use Smashbox Photo Finish primer myself.

You use both. You can ue full-face primer and eye primer for eyeshadow. It helps your makeup last longer, smear less and it makes eyeshadows more brilliantly colored and helps them to not crease.

I recommend Urban Decay’s Primer Potion for eyes. They have it at Sephora.

I put my moisturizer on after I get out of the shower and don’t start my make up for about half an hour then use primer.  It’s supposed to give your make up staying power.

I use Monistat Chaffing Gel because I’d seen it rec’ed in so many places and it works just as well as Sephora primer did for me.

You can use both but not immediately after the other. I would do like SanDiegoAli and put the moisturizer after the shower and let it absorb for a little while, then put on your primer, and then your foundation. Smashbox primer is really good it helps preserve your makeup to keep it fresh looking. Primer is good when you want your makeup to last and it should control the oil.

I would do a test before the wedding though. See how it looks throughout the day. They also sell products that matte out your skin, but that’s a whole other story…

I only moisturize at night, but you can wear moisturizer under primer.  I’m currently sampling lots and lots of primers for my wedding day.  I would highly reccomend Urban Decay Primer Potion for eyes, although Too Faced makes a good one, too.  Smashbox Photo Finish is a great face primer.  I tried a sample of Hourglass Veil and loooooved it – but their products are mega-expensive.

Just get a bunch of Sephora samples and try them out to see what you like best!  Good luck!

If you’re not going to incorporate primer into your normal make-up return (I’m not) but want it for your wedding, Sephora currently has a Makeup Forever travel set available that contains: primer, some sort of elixir (no clue!), and clear finishing powder. It’s $30 so it’s a good deal if you really only want this stuff for your wedding!

I use Benefit That Gal primer.  I love it.

I use moisturizer and then primer and I put my foundation on top of that. While it is an extra expense to add to your makeup bag, I find that it actually saves me money. My foundation does not seep into my skin but instead stays on top so therefore I don’t need as much or need to reaply. I also use the smashbox makeup primer at Sephora.

Monistat chaffing gel works as primer, but it’s only a fraction of the cost.  Best advice ever!

I did my own make up for the wedding and trialed a lot of products.  I had to go with a primer with a green tint in it because of my redness.

I’ve tried the Makeup Forever green primer, Smashbox and Clinique.  Clinique worked so much better for me, especially helping with the redness.

Primer provides a barrier between your face and your makeup. It eliminates oil and shine and helps your makeup to last longer. I would use it if I were you.

Primer is a godsend for photographic makeup!

I’ve tried several brands, and the best is Gorgio Armani, the one in the black bottle.  A close second is Laura Mercier’s oil-free primer.  Smashbox is also good too.

You use it after your moisturizer.  It helps your foundation stay on top of your skin instead of seeping into your pores or melting off.  You’ll notice a huge difference.

I am a make up artist and prefer Smashbox primer. There are a lot of brands out there it really is preference. Primer goes a long way so do not use to much and avoid getting to close to lash line. Primer will give your make up a smooth finished look and help to give an even make up application.

Night before your wedding get some sleep. A well rested bride takes the best pictures. And even with sleep you will want to use a eye moisturizer and face moisturizer apply these both plus a lip moisturizer (I use soft lips) prior and let dry then apply primer and so on.

Have fun and I hope your make up turns out exactly the way you want it for your special day!

I use the Monistat chaffing gel as a primer too (thanks Miss Rainbow!). I went to Sephora and the Smashbox primer looked exactly like the chaffing gel, but it cost about 4x more Surprised. The Monistat works perfect for me, and I have oily blemish prone skin.
