newbierose :  I think princess cuts are deeper so face up smaller. Beautiful stone though!

Mine is a 1 carat princess. It’s soldered to my vintage wedding band and then I play around with other stacking rings here and there 🙂

I do admit that I fell in love with this cut in the 90’s when it was trendy. But I think of it now as a classic 🙂 And I love all other cuts too – to me all diamonds are beautiful, lol.

I also struggled to find examples of princess cut rings on this forum prior to my engagement! I love the sharp corners and sparkle (RBs are beautiful but the round shape just didn’t look right on my hand when I tried them on). Hopefully this helps others who are looking – here is my 2.0 ct

@lovesbooks99:  Wow that looks huge! I would have guessed bigger than 1.75 ct!

@cc33ammy:  Thank you!  It’s a good size and I have a small finger (size 4).  I kind of wish I had gone for the 2 ct when my hubby suggested it, but now it’s too late.  LOL.

I have several wedding sets but princess cut is my all time favorite since it is the shape my husband chose initially. Mine is 2.03 I VS1 carat, Astor collection from Blue Nile and it sparkles like crazy!
