@jujee:  I used to have a princess cut (my house was robbed and it was stolen) and felt the same way.  I replaced the ring with a round cut and have noticed that my round does sparkle more than my princess did.  That’s not to say the princess cut didn’t sparkle, I just feel like the round sparkles much more.  The princess seemed to reflect rather than sparkle.  Here are pics of both:

@jujee:  No problem!  It might also have something to do with carat size, my princess was half carat and my round is over a carat, so maybe there is just more room for sparkle on my round so that’s why I notice it more? I dont know! haha

Do you clean it often?  I bet all it needs is a few hours soak in dishsoap cleaner! 🙂  I think princess cuts sparkle like MAD!  I JUST got mine cleaned when I took these pics.  Try a good soak on yours and see how it sparkles!

these pics have no editing at all:

@jujee. Yes, I let them soak for a couple hours all the time.  It makes them shine! 🙂

I think it looks sparkly and white in the picture! ..I have a .83 carat princess cut diamond thats vs2 so its only 1 grade level above yours and its very sparkly…maybe it needs professionally cleaned..whats the cut grade of your diamond?

jujee:  I’m not sure if you’re still checking this thread but bring your ring to a reputable local jeweler ideally once every 6 months for a cleaning and stone check. If any stones are becoming loose they will fix that when they clean it.

jujee:  hmm i would think it should sparkle. I have very small princess cut diamonds in the shoulders of my e-ring and larger ones in my wedding band and they all sparkl. So id assume a bigger one would?
