I love it, pads are one of my favorite stones. Thanks for posting this, I had not heard she was engaged. Where have I been?

mrsjsh :  I think they just announced it today. They kept it under wraps for a while.

I think its lovely and its interesting that she went with something that looks like the engagement ring her mum fergie wore. A pink pad is a nice modern twist on the original gemstone halo combination.

Beautiful engagement ring.   I am in love with their engagement photos,  they look so in love and happy.  Especially love the photo of the both of them gazing into each others eyes and smiling.  It looks so natural,  unlike the staged photos of her cousin’s  recent engagement.

The royals never fail me. Mine looks a lot like Kate Middleton’s.

des- :  deannamarie :  A little late to this thread, but I just wanted to chime in and say that Royal watchers are saying that she took her inspiration from her mother’s engagement ring. Sarah’s ring was definitely similar to Diana’s in style… it was a gemstone with a halo (ruby instead of sapphire though).

However, it makes more sense to me that Eugenie may have wanted a ring that was similar to her mother’s rather than outright trying to copy Diana’s ring. Plus it does look like a more modern twist on her mom’s ring with the chunkier halo (as compared to Diana’s) and the pear sidestones.

Overall, I personally love it. I love padparadschas and also like halos (most of the time).

orangeblossomhoney :  I’ve been living under a rock a bit (life has been busy), and I just heard about this today, but I love padparadscha sapphires so I adore Eugenie’s ring! 😀
