    @SR:   a radiant has much more sparkle to it than a princess. I almost got that, but I opted for an oval. I like elongated stones, because it helps your fingers not look chubby or short. ๐Ÿ™‚

    I have (and love) a princess, but my first choice was a rectangular radiant. If I upgrade my center stone, it’ll be to a square radiant.

    @katy13:  do you think that’s really true? I’ve always read that, but haven’t found it to be true for me. My fingers are mega short!

    @BlondeMissMolly:  definitely! It gives that illusion. Just like wearing black can give an illusion that someone is slimmer. ๐Ÿ™‚

    @katy13:  maybe my fingers are so short the rule reverses lol. I don’t know but elongated shapes never look right on me. Maybe if they were like 3+ carat ๐Ÿ˜‰

    @BlondeMissMolly:  I dont think any stone would look bad if it was that large. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    I think you should get what YOU like

    and not what WE like! Isnt this more of a preference thing? I have a princess-cut so

    my vote would automatically go towards that.

    @SR:  I have a radiant, so I’m biased but I love it!

    I think a princess can sparkle just as much as a radiant as long as the cut is good. I love both too! Go with which ever one looks best on your finger. My DH loves the princess cut more than the radiant so that is what we got. But I kite set it for a unique look that I love! Kite set:

    I think they have DIFFERENT kind of sparkles. Radiant doesn’t have the sharp facets of a princess and tend to have a “Crushed ice” look. I think it’s a matter of preference.

    I prefer the more defined, angular cut of the princess to the crushed ice look of the radiant.  I’m also not a fan of the bowtie look that can come with a rectangular stone so I voted princess.

    The Princess of Hearts is probably my favorite. . .the definition of a princess cut with the non-pointy corners of a radiant.

    @SR:  have you tried both on? I tried on different shapes and that automatically eliminated some.
