I have a princess solitare in a thick cathedral setting. I would show you….but I am having a heck of a time uploading photos. My wedding band is a half eternity and I love it!

Have you seen the princess cut eternity bands? I think this would look FANTASTIC with one that has shared prongs (as opposed to the channel setting).

A channel setting would look nice, too, but I prefer this style if it doesn’t sit completely flush with the e-ring.

Good luck! 🙂 This is one of the fun decisions!

First of all, Congratulations!!! Your ring is beautiful!  I love princess cut diamonds :)  The great news about your solitaire is that you can really do anything you want for a band!

While I don’t have a princess cut solitaire, I have three-stone princess cut Engagement Ring. Most all of the princess cut wedding bands that I found were channel set.  I liked this for a practical option, but didn’t LOVE the look of it.   So, we had our jeweler custom design a shared prong band.  I’ll try to attach pictures below.  I also got an alternate ring (the channel set half-eternity band) for a more practical, lower set ring to wear when I might be hard on my jewelry…

@MrsK2be: That was just about *exactly* what I was talking about. 🙂 Wow, I didn’t know the profile would be so high! It’s gorgeous though!

@Marigold: Yes, I thought this might be what you were talking about.  Although, I must say… I tried on several eternity bands and because the stones and prongs were so prominent, they were actually really uncomfortable for me.  My middle finger and little finger actually hurt after trying on the ring for a few minutes.  So, I knew that the eternity style wasn’t for me. My husband had the idea to design my wedding band with seven stones to symbolize the seven years we were together before we got married – I loved the idea and my ring!

My engagement ring is exactly the same as yours. Here is a pic of my wedding ring, its a channel set half eternity band with alternating princess and baguette diamonds.I also tried on one with just princess diamonds but the baguette ones just gave the engagement ring a bit more WOW.

Congratulations! Plain bands are ALWAYS a good fit. I have a 6-prong brilliant cut solitaire, and decided to add a little more bling (shown below). I think it depends on your style and preference!

Did you see Mrs. Bunny’s latest post? That was a really cool wedding band with what I think(!) is a princess solitaire…

I like MrsBradtobe pic…I think that’s pretty, you wouldn’t want something that overshadow you Engagement Ring, but enhances it!
