@Anvilchick:  Just FYI, if you’re comparing prices on channel set rings, I bought my channel set diamond ring (.5 carats of princess cut diamonds set in 14K white gold) for less than $400 on Overstock.com.  They have great prices and no worry guarantees – you can return anything.  It is  a really nice ring, plenty of gold and comfortable to wear.  The diamonds are nice and clear too. HTH!

Your ring is beautiful!  I have a princess cut solitaire, though we’re both of Irish heritage and love the celtic knotwork, so my setting has a celtic trinity on either side.  I wanted a simple wedding band (no diamonds), and we wanted to incorporate the celtic knotwork, as well.  Our wedding bands match, though his has the lip and is much wider (of course).  I like that my rings aren’t necessarily a “set”, they’re unique and we picked them together.  The pictures didn’t come out very well, but I’ve attached them.  I know the celtic knotwork might not go with your style, but you could find something that did!

i love your ring.. mine’s a similar setting but round cut. we’re going with a half eternity band of round stones that’s in a low pave setting: it sits pretty flush with the engagement ring and there are no big prongs that press into me. i originally wanted princess cut stones in the eternity band but the round ones shone much more.

I have a round solitaire and it’s absolutely beautiful. I thought that eternity bands took too much away from the diamond, so I went with a plain band and it makes the stone stand out so much more. It’s just classic and simple. By The Way, that’s a beautiful ring!

megieleen – I love your rings! I’m of celtic heritage, too, so I love all that stuff. Mine is a claddaugh, but I love the simple touch of the celtic knotwork 🙂

Can ypost lease post a picture of what you ended up getting with your engagement ring?  I have a princess cut diamond with channel set princess cut diamond on each side of the band.  I want something that looks exquisite, with bling and sparkle but is also different.  I don’t want the normal channel set wedding band! Thanks for the help!

I am doing this… but with 1 on each side. Mine’s a princess cut solitaire in a cathedral setting with a plain band. I tried it on Sunday and it looks awesome.
