allie2321 :  1000% worth it! We were able to get the recap as well as all footage. The thing that made me finally decide to get video is so that you can capture the faces, voices of people who aren’t going to be here forever – like my grandmother. Made the money worth it!!

Totally worth it.  My photographer missed a couple of pictures because our guests got in her way but the videographer captured it.  He was able to provide me with some still images from his video.  Those pictures made him worth every penny!

1000%. The hubby and I watch it every year on our anniversary.  Also, my mom died a year later and I am so grateful to have a video of her offering advice, dancing and having a great time. I will cherish that video for MANY reasons and so glad we chose to do it.

Totally worth it for us. Our videographer captured video that our photographer missed. We got married in September and for Christmas we gave our parents and grandparents a video they loved it. We have already watched our video a few times for family and friends that couldn’t be there

1 million percent worth it. Nothing can compare, its like living the day over and over. Spend the money, you won’t regret it!

allie2321 :  YES! we spent almost 3k on our videographer, and it was worth every. damn. penny.

A million times yes. The day flew by and I can barely remember it. Our highlight video is everything to me and we should get our wedding video soon. I am dying to see it and to see everything. I literally watch our highlight video all the time.

allie2321 :  I went back and forth over having a videographer due to budget reasons, and I’m BEYOND happy that we decided to get one. To cut costs, we only had our ceremony recorded and basically agreed to having raw footage only ($300 vs $3k). My wife’s vows were the most important part of our wedding to me, so I knew that I would appreciate having a video as a keepsake. I’m so glad that I made that last minute decision and that I was able to make it fit into our tiny budget. Even though we went supper basic, the video is still really beautiful.

allie2321 :  It is pretty great to be able to go back and relive that day through the footage, and also share it with those who could not be there or our future children. Getting to watch my husband’s parents’ wedding projected onto a wall was super cool, so I like the idea of being able to pass it on to future generations. But it’s not like we’ll have it playing on a continuous loop for the rest of our lives – we’ve only watched it a couple times. But we do get all warm and fuzzy when we watch clips. So if it blows your budget or puts you in an uncomfortable place financially, then I’d think twice about it. Otherwise it is nice to have.

I didn’t answer the poll because I haven’t gotten married yet but I know we will be glad we decided to get one. Like others said, it’s nice to be able to “re-live” the day and also remember individuals who will eventually pass on in a video format. I also love that I can show my son (and hopefully another future child) the video.

As some one who opted not to…I regret not gettting videography! Totally do it. Pics are nice but you really get to re live the day when you have video footage and being able to share that with future children or those who where not able to attend is priceless! We spend so much money on other things and video should top the list. I’d gladly let a few other things go in hindsight, that’s assuming budget is even a concern of yours.

spaceship54321 :  that’s a great idea. Get raw footage so it’s cheaper and you can pay to have it edited later when you have more saved up!
