- Wedding: April 2017
It is absolutely worth it. I got married almost a year ago and I think I’ve watched my wedding video just about once a week I love it so much. It is so precious to us, and we got a lot of flack from family and friends for it before the wedding (because we had a somewhat ‘budget’ wedding, so they didn’t think the extra cost was worth it) but after they saw it, they understood. We actually ended up having a friend who was just starting out in the industry do it for us at a reduced price, and I edited the footage myself. It was so beautiful and I will always cherish that video.
What really decided me on the fact that I wanted a wedding video was a story I read from a bride (I can’t remember from which website – I think it might have been Rock n Roll bride) who did not have a videographer at her wedding. She said one of her friends had taken a short cellphone video of her walking down the aisle – it was blurry, it was shaking, the sound was shit, but that one ten second clip of her walking down the aisle meant so much to her and was so precious to her, she couldn’t imagine how much more beneficial it would have been having a professional videographer at the wedding.
