Hmm, I heard about the closing at least 3-4 months ago, so I am not sure what they would have left.  Hopefully someone has been recently!

They cleared out the Boston warehouse on October 15th and I believe they sold some of their inventory to Vows (bridepower.com), but I could be wrong.  I have to imagine that there isn’t much left at the stores.

There are quite a few threads about the closing and I imagine those have stories from those who went to check out the sales.

All stores are closing their doors for good Dec. 31st. I don’t know how much will be left either.

The one in Boston was already gutted in November. I’m sure NYC is the same. Definitely call and ask what they have left. If you’re looking for a specific POB, I’d keep checking the used dress sites – Im sure a lot of shops will be getting rid of their samples.

The one in Tysons Corner, VA is pretty much left with torn samples. I would have liked to have gotten a veil at 70% off but there were rips and stains on almost all of them. There were a couple accessories here or there but not worth it! 🙁 Sorry!

I went to the one in NYC back in early Oct.  I don’t think it would be worth your time at all.  The store was already pretty much cleared out and I think you’d have a very hard time finding multiple dresses you liked in the same color and the right size that aren’t in poor condition.

@Stellabella324: I was at the Tysons salon last spring and it was looking pretty rough!  I wonder if they knew something was coming…

I just went to the Boston one a few weeks ago.  They actually had quite a few very nice wedding dresses left over.  I ended up buying a cheap short one to wear for the rehearsal dinner, but they had almost NO bridemaids dresses left.  If you’re going just for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, it’s def not worth it.  If you’re going to look for you, I’d call ahead and ask them how many dresses they have left.  It also depends on the shape you’re looking for.  A lot of the ones that they had that were in fantastic condition were from their platinum collection and were pretty large ball gowns.  Hope that helps…

I bought a headband back in September, a reception dress in October, and a bridemaids dress in October or November.

Unless you’re looking for accessories, it’s probably not worth it.

I bought all of my stuff from east coast stores, and they had a decent collection when I went.  I doubt they have any bridemaids dresses left.  When I bought mine (as a going out dress) it was only $29.99.  After that day, I’m sure they were pretty picked over.

Also, I tried to go to the one in California, but they’re only open select days now..  A few of their dresses in the window we’re okay, but my fiance said they looked “sad”.  Haha..  If you’re planning on going, definitely call ahead.

I went to the Priscilla of Boston in NYC about two weeks ago and wound up purchasing two veils (because I couldn’t decide).  They are both cathedral length, one with a mantilla lace ivory trim with crystals and the other with beautiful embroidery at the end with crystals, pearls and diamonds. They retailed for $950 and $2,000, respectively, and I purchased them for $29.99 each!!  I also bought a bustier that was $125 for $9.99.

Of course, even though i already had a dress, I couldn’t help but try some on.  Tried on an $8,000 gown with a hoop skirt that was $499 and I seriously considered buying it and losing the deposit on my original dress.  I also tried on other dresses that were about $3,500 and were being sold for $299.  The samples were still in pretty good condition, but would need a cleaning.    They were all so beautiful and it was very hard for me to walk away.

Before I left, two women came in and purchased 8 dresses without even trying them on (they must have a store or something).  It doesn’t hurt to call the stores to see what kind of inventory they have left.  When I went about 2 weeks ago there were probably about 50 gowns.

I purchased a gown from them when the sale first started, but I went back to look at any Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and accessories and THERE WAS NONE LEFT!!! Like literally none…

I honestly wouldnt bother driving down that far- they only had 4 racks of gowns left and they were all torn or dirty… I talked to this super nice girl there and she said that some of the bridal consultants had purchased the gowns is now reselling them on ebay- so basically all the good stuff went like weeks ago…

I guess its one way to make bonus christmas $$$
