(Closed) Private Ceremony and Full Reception Wording

We wanted to do something like this, but my Mother-In-Law threw a fit. So we got married at the reception on the dance floor instead (which displeased her greatly 🙂

 

  I think both wording’s are really awesome.  For our wedding, since there really wasn’t a formal ceremony it said:

Mr and Mrs Bride’s Parents

and

Mr and Mrs Groom’s Parent’s

request the pleasure of your company at the celebration of

Bride’s Name

and 

groom’s name

marriage on ect.. ect..

I think you should combine the two to eliminate what you don’t like about each one:

 
Mr. and Mrs. Bride’s Parents

request the pleasure of your company

at a dinner to celebrate the marriage of

Bride

and

Groom

Day, the month of

at time

Location Name

City/State

 

This way you get the more formal of the two, but you don’t necessarily have to use your married names so that it doesn’t seem like you have been married for a long time.
