I guess I won’t really be any help with your questions, I’m not sure of the answers, but I love your ideas, it sounds like a lot of fun 🙂

First off, congrats on your upcoming nuptals! It sounds like it will be a lovely wedding already!

How many kids will be at the wedding? Maybe the games can be geared towards kids, and adults get a kick out of watching kids play. Do the adults like to play cards or drink? (or are you even allow to drink there?)

I’ve also found this on pintrest: http://www.pinterest.com/paisleypetals/wedding-picnic-lawn-games/

Depending the type of games and how formal/casual you want your wedding to be, you may want to make sure guests are dressed comfortably. Good luck!

This is a great idea! I know a few people who have done this & I’ll probably end up doing something similiar myself. I remember reading an article recently that said getting married at the courthouse then having a celebration is becoming a bit more common.

Now onto a few of your questions, I don’t think it’s silly to have a first dance. I think it’s beautiful, you & your new husband sharing your first dance in the middle of such a simply beautiful natural setting. The bridal shower, well you are getting married so you are a bride but it seems like some people around you may disagree since it’s not the “fancy wedding” they approve of. What ever you decide to do just make sure you have supportive people around you & stand firm & proud on your decision. Hope you have a great time in everything & I’m sure it will all be beautiful 🙂
