How do you define private and intimate?  Just the 2 of you?

I would prioritize photography since your family will want to see pics.

We’re doing a short standing ceremony with immediate family only, possibly at a park or at the beach. Much like an elopement but with our immediate family there. Afterwards we’re just going to have dinner.

However I’m really big on styling it. I was soooo inspired by this: http://www.stylemepretty.com/2010/12/16/wedding-for-two-by-aaron-delesie-lisa-vorce/

It only has two people, but has the stylings of a fancy wedding. Even with no guests, we still can’t afford all the rich details from that wedding, but I definitely want to include style elements such as the dress, the bouquet, fancy wedding announcement, etc. I also want rich, quality photographs so I’m making sure we have an awesome photographer as well. Overall I want to give the impression it was a real wedding and not just an “elopement”.

We don’t really have any activities outside of dinner. We don’t want to stress about entertaining guests, we simply just want to enjoy the time together.

Our wedding will have 18 guests, I consider that to be very intimate. Our ceremony and reception are in identical, adjacent rooms. This is the venue and my inspiration. I love sharing it because it is just so beautiful. We have the house from noon until 9pm and the event is from 3-8 so we are trying as we might to fill up that time. We aren’t hiring a DJ so I need to put together 5 hours of music and we are throwing in a slideshow for guests. The guests are mostly family with a few close friends and they will mostly be in photos so there won’t be a lot of down time for everyone during photo taking. As for a must have list? I’m still figuring that out. I decided to spend on chairs and decor and little details. We are doing cupcakes and a cutting cake which I think is perfect for small weddings. I have a victorian feel in mind and am open to all ideas as well!

I’m also planning a private wedding ceremony, about 15-20 people. Because of a tight budget, I originally thought of simply going to the court house, but my boyfriend/ fiance came up with the idea of doing it at a chapel, so at least I can feel like a “REAL BRIDE”, and get to wear a beautiful dress and carry a bouquet… How Sweet!!  The chaple will provide an officiant, decor, seating, and photograhpy, also videography if we chose, at great package pricing! We’re planning to take our group to dinner afterwards. I’ll actually purchase a pretty wedding cake to take with us and have a cake cutting ceremony at the restaurant. Though it’s a private wedding, I still plan to  put together a few wedding favors for our family!
